Wow manic pixie dream psycho!!1! The actress is just doing what's she supposed to do. The dialogue is often embarrassing, partly because it's so bad but also because it's so pleased with itself. Another big problem is it's 7 episodes long, if it was a 3-parter it might've been a silly little mini-series but as it was there's far too much talking, far too many superfluous characters, and far too many stupid sub-plots. On top of all this there's going to be a second series, I think

A show where every episode passes the bechdel test. Especially enjoy watching the actress playing Villanelle, there's some really dark humour in here. Worth watching if you enjoyed Fleabag too

Jodie Comer's "Villanelle" is a hilariously entertaining character for the ages. It's like a much more farcical "Fargo" which became less interesting as it went along.

There's potential for something good, but it's ruined by the awful writing which makes every single character utterly stupid. Doesn't help that Sandra Oh is a charisma vacuum in her role, whereas Jodie Comer steals every scene she's in - but we're given much more Eve than Villanelle. I gave up after 3 seasons, I just can't watch this low tier drama anymore, it seems to be going nowhere at all.

A highly-enjoyable and fast-moving espionage thriller bathed in dark comedy. Tons of fun. Never a dull moment.

Brilliant and refreshing game of cat and mouse, season 1 was fantastic, season 2 was just decent. It falls off dramatically afterwards, the serie is barely recognizable at that point. Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s departure as head writer post season 1 was extremely obvious. The character of Villanelle is one you cannot forget, she shakes off all clichés typically found in on-screen female killers, such as the femme fatale. Jodie Comer’s performance is a complete delight, a true powerhouse.

S1: PWB is much better at writing personal, intimate scenarios (Fleabag) than the political espionage stuff. As such this show is very unbalanced; sometimes fantastic and sometimes just insulting.

What a terrible final. Looks like we won't see them pair up in the third season thanks to the brand new writers.

KE ( series 1) was thoroughly enjoyable; a real "guilty pleasure" with a totally captivating performance from Comer. The script was, however, progressively more and more stupid; more and more far fetched and irrelevant, and by the end, Sandra Oh Dear's character had morphed into a bumbling buffoon who you just hope would meet the fate promised in the title, preferrably in the most horrible of ways. It was still better than 90% of TV series, but why cant they just work to a climax and FINISH?

Well acted and wittily written assassin story. The first half of the season (both season 1 and 2!) was brilliantly written stories but got more goofy towards the end. Both season cliffhangers were very good, specially the season 1 finale!

(upped a point!) some of the (thrillery) tension is lost in series 2, but it's still very fucking satisfying and delicious.

Very good, enjoyable modern version of an espionage story. The two leads are great, their relationship gives the story a real energy, and keeps everyone off balance - including viewers. All that said, I don't think I liked it quite as much as many others.

A cat and mouse action/spy affair, anti-hero vs anti-James Bond. It looks good and the leads were great -showing just enough self-awareness without becoming smug or 'breaking it, good fun.
