Ferguson is as terrific as always, and both Robbins and Iain Glen are also very good in their roles. Common, not so much. The pilot introduced the main mystery of the first season perfectly, and if the show can keep things interesting going forward while continuing to expand its world with as much imagination then the sky (rather than the ground) is the limit.

No replacement for The Expanse, but watchable.

I love everything about this. The setting, the mysterious screen in the dining hall, the characters, all good.

eng; [silo -- SERIE]; eine gesellschaft ist in einem silo-artigen bunker gefangen da scheinbar die aussenwelt tödlich ist - doch einige der menschen hegen zweifel und wollen etwas über die vergangenheit herausfinden.; {Folgen: S01E06}; (teasernde erste, score 50 folge mit langatmiger, spannender fortsetzung; essens-überflussgesellschaft unter der erde - unglaubwürdig an vielen stellen);

The Silo is everywhere. It is all around us, even now in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Truly some of the worst acting I've ever seen. It's a shame, really. The plot is pretty interesting.

I don't really get the hype. Midway-through season 1 it's already descended into typical lazy writing to move the plot forward.

(After season 2). Dystopian, mysterious sci-fi. It's not terrible original, but it drags much less that other shows (looking at you, From). It's refreshing to watch something that actually resolves its mysteries at a decent pace. Acting is all over the place. How long a character stays in the show is inversely proportional to how good the actor is, especially in season 1. Though, to be fair, Ferguson improves a lot in season 2.

Just finished season 2 (latest). Season 1 was good, but season 2 is like 100X better. I can't wait for season 3 (and 4).

An intriguing mystery stretched thin. It feels like you could cut half of the first season without losing anything of importance. The characters aren’t very interesting or likable either. The first and final episode of S1 are decent, but a lot of the stuff between them drag out far more than needed. Perhaps S2 will be better paced, but it already feels like this would’ve been better suited as a limited series.

I think it does start a little slow, but the world-building is done so meticulously and with respect to what feel like three-dimensional characters that we slowly grow to understand, that by the third episode, I was fully bought in on the mystery, as well as the character conflicts. Also, the multi-leveled dystopian silo setting is so perfectly realized that it itself is almost an extra character in the show.

A sluggish, soulless experience. The dialogue is stilted, repetitive, and spoon-feeds every implication like viewers can’t keep up. Characters lack depth, scenes drag without purpose, and any mystery dissolves in monotony. The show mistakes filler for intrigue, and gloom for atmosphere. Visually bland and emotionally inert. With each episode, it becomes harder to care who anyone is or why anything matters. It’s not art—it’s content design: calculated, hollow, and afraid to take risks.

Really cool concept and a fantastic cast. I do think the story is drawn out a little longer than I would have liked, but the payoff has certainly been worth it so far. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Captivating enough, although the mystery and the denouement seem rather obvious from the start and it turns out, they really are. Nevertheless, I am hopelessly hooked and even though I disliked Juliette Nichols from the start, she really grew on me and I ended up rooting for her. And as compelling as the mystery part is, the totalitarian regime is really the cherry on top.

This is actually better than I thought it would be. It has some pacing issues, and the backstory is muddled , but there is some clever non-ham-fisted writing going on. Character motives are clear without spelling it out etc. I don't know if the cast is likeable enough to carry this though.

Another "mystery box" show that doesn't get it. Lost opened with Jack the handsome doctor, Sawyer the charming rogue, Locke the wise mystic and Kate as a total babe. Silo goes with a clueless sheriff, an old sheriff, a rebellious pencil pusher and an inept nerd. That's bad enough, but by the second episode they are all pushed aside for a 40 years old mechanic who acts like an angsty teenager and in the off chance the mystery hooked you in, the third episode is all about fixing a steam generator.
