Another regurgitation of that "game horror" trope as seen in "Cube", "Saw", "Exam", "Redd Inc.", "Would You Rather", and many other similarly smart-alecky but ludicrous movies. A waste of Ron Perlman.

"Would You Rather" watch this for some "Cheap Thrills" or just watch the original like you should have with "13" and "The Experiment?"

Ugh, someone needs to make a horror film about the infestation of terrible horror films.

Clichéd concept, lazy script, boring development. Mehhh.

This overlooked game of death is a high-strung and rousing ride that grabs you just a few minutes in and doesn't let go until its done taking you through its ludicrous perils, throughout which we are put in the position to question what we'd be willing to do, and I think many of us would be startled by which level we may walk away from this game.

Well, since I expected nothing, I really enjoyed the movie. No masterpiece of any sorts, not even innovative, but enjoyable. And seeing Rutina Wesley not as annoying Tara (even though she had her moments) was good, too. It's not a new but worthwhile take on the whole "what would people do for money and the promise of a solution for all their problems"-idea.

13 Sins feels derivative, especially with Cheap Thrills being released in such close proximity to it, but if you can put similar films out of your mind, you're likely to have a good time with it. Its ideas of what extremes people will go to for money are interesting. It does get too silly to take seriously at times, and that keeps it from really driving its message home, but that's only a minor problem. It's not particularly thrilling, but it is engaging and it's more fun than you might expect.

An entirely absurd story full of nonsense and ridiculousness. This is basically an unconvincing vehicle for mayhem, cynicism, racism and horror. They ask you to believe there is a group of rich people who are able to see everything everywhere, have the police in their pocket, and enjoy watching people commit horrific acts. The plot idea is absurd, depraved and stupid, although the acting is mostly good. A few priceless moments and some memorable horror, but otherwise a really pathetic movie.

Silly but entertaining “high-concept” thriller meshes elements of better, more ambitious films (THE GAME, THE BOX etc.), but can still stand on its own, thanks to brisk pacing and having the (modest) courage of its convictions, which send certain scenes of the film into the realm of (intentional?) black comedy. Webber brings just the right amount of dogged cluelessness to our hero, and its fun to have Perlman looming in the background as an is-he-or-isn’t-he red herring.

Solid, fun action/horror film. I was very engaged the whole time. One of those horror movies that leaves you feeling o-kay. It might not be the best writing or the most thought provoking but I really like it!

I must confess I'm perplexed by the almost unanimous negativity surrounding this movie I found almost by accident. A masterfully crafted tale with nothing left to chance, in equal parts funny, (intentionally) horrifying and thrilling.

Equal parts fun and forgettable.

* Even though there's nothing original about the script, the movie had a very good start and went well till the last act, but in the end it just went into utter bullshit territory with that stupid ending. What an awful ending to movie that might have been quite good.

An unknown cast, but a very good thriller. Just a bit ruff.

No, this is not very clever.

Good - maybe even great - concept that starts off well, but should have known when to slow down and take a deep breath. Instead, it barrels headfirst into the absurd and, apparently without noticing the irony, sets tasks for itself that it simply cannot pull off. "Hey guys I discovered this ancient conspiracy that works by MAGIC" "Yeah everyone knows about it but you"

Well done game show turned out to have a cu-de-suc ending. Nicely made film ruined with badly written closure.

Very interesting concept but a bit poor executed. Could have been much better. Overall an enjoyable movie!

Interesting concept

Nothing new and fairly predictable but it's well made and enjoyable to watch, has a slight bit of a black humour to it.

Was fun while it lasted but it the end was way too predictable. I was thinking up concoctions like this when I was 14.

It had me, it lost me, it had me again, it lost me again. I give this a score perhaps it doesn't deserve because it's so entertaining not because it's so coherent or even well-made. Damn good fun I have to say but a few too many silly twists and leaps of possibility
