Think Creep 1, but with 67% less dudes...yet somehow 200% more penis.

This film, like its predecessor, lives and dies on the back of Duplass. His light-hearted eeriness is completely bizarre and mostly engaging. Creep 2 falters with the inherent weakness in that we already know the the lengths of the lead's psychosis. This is made up for by the film going for more laughs.

Cute piece of mumblehorror, slightly more mumblecore than horror this time around, and better by virtue of being cuter.

Somehow creepier than the first. But not scarier.

CREEP 2 surprisingly stepped up its game and became a little more self-aware in what it was trying to be, and practically everything was better on a technical level, particularly with the acting and characters, because our supporting actress challenged Mark Duplass's character in a way that he needed the first time around. The fact that he's well-known still hurts the believability factor, but the switch from found-footage to mockumentary helped that issue, too.

Pretty much picks up where the last one ended But not nearly as good (You shouldn't have to spend half the movie with the killer trying to convince his victim that he really is a psycho killer) And in both movies I had a hard time feeling empathy for either victims because I felt like they put themselves in danger

We get it, you guys are going through a midlife crisis. The idea is kind of film school, but somehow they make it work. Duplass gives the performances of lifetime. Like Phantom Thread, this movie takes apart the filmmaker douche(and probably themselves in the process)

I was full sure it was wedding bells this time around. The guy is still creepy as f**k and still reminds me of Dave.

Not as smart as it believes it is -- despite posing as a self-conscious film about a serial killer in crisis (he's eventually lying that he is lying so he can find inspiration to kill again), but it's interesting trying to watch this as a competition of who can scare the other first. She thinks she's really directing this damn thing and doesn't ger easily spooked -- while he finally finds a challenge.

Would have been way better if it was an hour longer and more developed

This started out somewhat slow for me, but grew throughout the whole film. Akhavan and Duplass complimented watch other very well. There was a natural chemistry between the leads that I enjoyed. This was far more playful than the first. I liked the first in a "recommend to indie horror fans" way, but this one has further reach in my opinion. First half 6.3 ish. Second half 8.3! I'm going to go a little higher than the avg of the halves at a 7.5 and round up to an 8 for those 10 pt scale sites.

Duplass carries this well with his compelling creepiness, and Ahkavan is a fine foil. Gave me the same vibes as the first one, so I reckon if you liked that one you'll enjoy this one.

I'm used to horror movie protagonists being stupid but this is just something else. It's almost like a parody of the genre. But it's not.

I suspected this sequel was an attempt to ride the coat tails of its predecessor. However, it was unique enough that it could be watched without needing to see the first film. The awkwardness keeps you glued to the screen.

Surprisingly, a refinement over its predecessor. As before, it's Duplass just tearing up the scenery with this creepily hilarious and subtly unnerving character.
