Meet the movie that killed that kid from Home Improvement's acting career. That, or syphilis. I don't know. Wait, does he really have syphilis?

This was a cash in on the Jonathan Taylor Thomas fad, and the results were a horribly cliched and sappy pile of crap. What ever happened to that guy anyway?

Maybe its the nostalgia taking effect but I actually think this movie isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I also don't understand all of the irrational hatred towards JTT. I'd say the movies worth at least one viewing, but don't expect it to be a holiday classic you'd want to watch every Christmas.

Lol. I forgot this existed, just like Jonathan Taylor Thomas's career.

This may be slightly generous to this movie. It's a dumb movie. But it wasn't painful to watch.

A typical Disney film about a spoiled asshole who cons his way across the country. Arguably contains the most hateable characters in any Christmas movies, and that includes Mr. Potter and any incarnation of Ebeneezer Scrooge.

Stupid but fun if you're watching it with friends and family during the holidays.

Chunks of this movie were filmed very close to my home, and that's the only reason I've seen it. It's a studio movie about Christmas, so it should come as no surprise that it's utterly terrible. Remember when Jonathan Taylor Thomas thought he'd have a film career? Like every other movie he made, this one's forgettable in every way. I just felt bad for Gary Cole. Poor guy.

This movie being released in 1998 makes a lot less sense than it did when I thought it came out in the early 90s. Anyway it was all right.

I can believe in Santa Claus but I simply refuse to believe that JTT had a chance with Jessica Biel. One can only suspend so much disbelief.

Self-centered Jake's charisma and mischievous ingenuity (see his liver transplant caper, unexpected trip to the hospital), along with a decent batch of slapstick-in-a-Santa suit (highlighted by a Santa race of course) and oddball side characters (sketchy Nolan having to give away his stolen goods was pretty funny) in typical Americana road-trip comedy fashion, make for his predictable journey to cozy-Christmas-redemption fairly entertaining--and the ending hits home too. Cheesy Christmas fun.
