It's incredibly how the last 20 - 30 minutes of this movie redeemed the rest. I'd heard great things about it, but for a significant portion of the movie, I was very underwhelmed. Some of the jokes were falling flat, and a few scenes could've stood to be edited down or completely out. But it ends about a strongly as a romantic comedy can, and for that, an above average mark. If you can get through the mediocre bits, you will be rewarded.

My Sassy Girl? More like "The completely batshit insane girl that isn't really mine in any real sense," though I guess that's not as catchy. To be fair, despite some missteps it does have some awkwardly funny moments and the last 20 minutes or so are pretty good, even if blatantly foreshadowed. It's an enjoyable and occasionally original romantic comedy but it gets bogged down in a lot of melodrama that the characters aren't likable enough to support.

This movie should have been called "My Annoying Bitch." Incredibly disappointing after hearing how awesome it was from everyone.

A sweet Korean romantic comedy based on, of all things, a blog. Only in Korea. Nice melodrama and the comedy hits more often than it misses.

One of the better Korean Rom-coms, & Korean Romances rule the genre.

Even though this heartwarming movie has lots of sugary cliché scenes, I like it anyway..."Love" is the same love in Seoul, Tokyo, Istanbul, Paris or wherever you are.

I'm man enough to admit I cried at the end. Warm, charming movie.

It started off quite well, I thought, but got a little too conventional for my tastes towards the end. However, it's a really lovely movie. It's sweet, it's cute, it's funny... Backed up by two great lead actors, a fun, if repetitive, score and nice direction, it works. I liked that it dealt with ideas of fate and coincidence. I thought it was perhaps a tad too long, but I found myself having a little "aww!" moment at the end, and that's gotta be good.

Ridiculously funny and cute. The leads are fantastic and you will feel what it's like to be in love. Highly recommended

My Sassy girl is a sweet, sad, funny, heartwarming romantic comedy about two young Koreans falling in love, yet seemingly never able to cross the bridge towards eachother. I'm not a huge fan of Tae-hyun Cha's acting, but Ji-hyun Jun played the 'bitchy girl' wonderfully, and by the end of the film she wins you over. There are some lame jokes and unnecessary scenes, but in the end you're completely engulfed in the sweetness and sadness of a wonderful romance that doesn't seem to find its path.

The main actor is hugely annoying and awful at slapstick comedy to boot. However, the movie has a few beautiful moments, and in the final act especially the romance kicks in and ticks all the right boxes, and is actually very touching rather than sickening. But you still question whether these two halves of the movie really deserve each other. In short, a topsy-turvy movie: the end was good but everything before that was lame and in need of drastic editing down.

A pleasant diversion, but really only a good romantic comedy, nothing groundbreaking. A bit overhyped by the import dvd crowd.

Watch the short version, or else the character relationship will piss you off big time. It's like a ping-pong match of emotions, and it stirs up quite a storm...for a while. Then it just gets boring and you'd wish it would stop raining. Has its moments. Easy does it, but this one doesn't.

Note to myself: I loved this when I first watched it in my early 20's. I watched it again 3-5 years later and thought WTF was I thinking. For some unknown reason I gave it another chance 3-5 years later (today) and liked it. The ending is great, but there's only 2-3 funny scenes.

The plot was creative and unpredictable. The characters were unusual but well acted and developed. And the ending was quite poignant. The music was great too.

It takes a long time to figure out what they see in each other - for the first hour, she's insane, he's idiotic. But when the film tones down the wackiness and starts treating them as people it becomes a stronger film. Probably too long though.

I'm not a sure how much of the movie I actually believe to be based on real stories but because a lot of them are incredibly out there the movie is actually pretty funny.

Very dissapointing after hearing how great this film is. Although the film alludes to Korean's love of melodrama it doesn't do much to avoid it. A subtler hand might have made a fantastic film, although I wouldn't tone down the comedy.

The first half is real funny and sweet. And then there came a point with the main guy was too much of a doormat and the girl teased so much that I hated their entire relationship. This dude was acting like he was in a Saw trap set to go off if she was so much as upset at him. Also puking is never funny and every puke scene can be cut. A friend was mad that the directors cut had more puke scenes. I do not need the Synder cut of this movie

Very cute and touching. A little slow in the middle for me, but it really picks up in the latter half. A different and quirky romance.

There's a sweet romance here, but for the first half it's bogged down by some pretty lame comedy, and the characters aren't very likeable until the second half. Also, points off for using Pachebel's Canon, which really ought to be outlawed in cinema by now.

Well-filmed and mostly enjoyable despite all the cringeworthy abuse and emasculation played for laughs. Heck, it's even in the movie poster.

I don't get what's the big deal with this animesque romcom. I found it like any other korean melodrama, maybe more goofy. For the most part it's like live action comedy anime, last third is hardcore melodrama with terrible music. I liked the ending twist tho. I watched Director's Cut version, and it feels like lots of unnecessary scenes were left in the film, so maybe theatrical cut is better.

The best romantic comedy of all time. I'm not sure whether Westerners would get this movie, as so much of the comedy is inherent in the style of the Korean language, but still it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Sweet, too. Shu lay!?!

This movie is another romantic comedy. This movie wasnt like many of the other Korean movies I have seen. Had a little bit of drama. I liked the comedy aspect of the movie. It was different from the other romantic comedies that I have watched till date. I wouldnt rate this movie as a must see, but it is entertaining in its own way. If you do watch it, watch it with your better half.

There's no romance, no comedy and absolutely no drama. The girl is not sassy, but crazy. And she's not his, in any possible way. The movie also takes way too long to finish.
