Fair adventure saga benefits from Lee's likable performance as Mowgli, and attractive scenic photography, but is hurt by otherwise simplistic characterisations of key characters, and a tendency towards unecessarily buffoonish comic relief (unfortunately not helped by Cleese's Basil Fawlty reprise). Still a reasonable attempt to recapture an old-fashioned style, but not entirely successful.

I liked this movie as a kid, but I also tried to do a flip out of a tree when I was a kid and hurt myself when I landed square on my back.

Jason Scott Lee communicates with animals in the jungle. This movie is as entertaining as that sounds.

Absolutely gorgeous movie, loved every moment of it. A realistic turn to what has traditionally been an animation-adaptation-only type of movie.

Now that we've had a good live action Jungle Book, the only people who will be watching this are the ones who buy it out of the $5 bin at Wal-Mart thinking that it's the more recent film.

This version of Jungle Book is more accurate to the Rudyard Kipling story. It retains the darker themes, and the acting is top notch. Really good!
