Somehow more cartoonish than Disney’s version, which actually was a cartoon. Every action scene looks like a bad video game, while every non-action scene is torpedoed by the cast’s inability (or refusal) to inject any life into the pitiful screenplay. Ye gods, what cheese.

What could have been one of the worst movies of the year, surprises becoming one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It looks horrible (worse than Rise of an Empire, and that had a reason for its style), it is terribly acted (all around), and it is written so terribly that I am pretty sure they just filmed a bunch of sequences without chronological order. Holy crap, do NOT waste your time.

The rumors are true: This is a profoundly dull, drab, generic movie, with fight/battle scenes that offer nothing fresh, nary an interesting character, relationship, or line of dialogue to be found. I don't know Kellan Lutz - he may well rescue kittens and feed the homeless in his spare time in real life - but onscreen he looks like an asshole meatheat fratboy and is one of the lead appealing leading men in recent film history. The movie also wastes Liam McIntyre, who was great in Spartacus.

Hercules does Gladiator, they could have done so much better. Everything in place for a great movie except a plot.

Who put the sad in gladiators? Hercules! Well, this action flick wasn't Gods-awful but it was painful for the most part. The film honestly earned most of its points from the cool fights once Hercules realized that he was actually pretty strong and not just some buff pretty-boy from Twilight. Gaia Weiss was really beautiful and unfortunately underused. Kellan Lutz as the star did ok...

Like a movie within a movie. The kind of nonsensical thing that plays on the TV in the background of an 80s horror flick.

This movie was a confused mish-mash of legends and stories that was poorly realized and acted. It is rare but here Scott Adkins is by far the best actor in the entire film.

Overall bad. Like, Gladiator and Jesus are at the base of the plot, then who knows what. It was cheap overall, and even the more "realistic" approach to the myth didn't save anything. I didn't give less point to it only because some of the fight choreography wasn't bad and showed interesting possibilities for a character stronger than a human but not as strong as Superman, of course.

How long would this movie be if they took out all the slo-mo from the action scenes?

Pretty incredible. What in the gods' names possessed someone to pour 70 million dollars down the drain like this? The plot is by-the-numbers - it's also rushed, and feels like a pilot episode of a low-budget film - and the action is real bad, but the real kicker here is the cast. 70 million dollars, and you put your faith in these guys? Weiss wasn't Golden Raspberry-levels of bad, but Lutz was. And Adkins was snubbed on that front; some of the most genuinely incompetent line delivery I've seen.

Legend of Hercules feels like a glorified Syfy movie that lacks the cheekiness necessary to make the whole experience a so-bad-it's-good B-movie viewing.

Apart from one brief scene where Hercules slays the Nemean Lion (which must be one of the worst CGI creations since Lawnmower Man), there's no Hercules action here. The entire rich mythos of Herc, and they chose to remake Gladiator with terrible acting, terrible action scenes and CGI that is literally (and I mean that in the literal sense - my eyeballs started to hurt) painful to watch. Go watch a couple of episodes of the Kevin Sorbo TV show instead; it's cheeseball but much more fun than this.

The Legend of Hercules is a cheap-looking and meaningless movie with bad action, terrible romance, poor acting, and a story that might work on paper, but as directed by Renny Harlin plays out horribly. There isn't any reason to watch this movie, except to make fun of it with friends or use it as a sleep aid. There's no intentional joy to be gained from sitting through it.

The acting is abysmal, the dialogue is laughably cheesy, the special effects look like they were purchased from a Dollar General and the fight sequences are obnoxiously repetitive. If you wanna give this a watch, be my guest. You might even get to avoid a ticket price 'cause I guarantee you this film will be in a Redbox and Wal-Mart checkout lane near you before I even finish this review. Mediocre movie. Hercules is the name of the story and kullanip so bad even number of quality even without a film out of it emerged a separate success story, though. 300 Spartan Spartacus and he kept them similar to wanted to get a certain, not even in the film also don't think oynatmis that is in them, but the tempo and excitement, but in fact, it briefly, there is nothing. Hercules is known by everyone in the story even almost vignette-like single shot, he should be put in.

Well then.... Story is bad. No, horrible! Acting is fake, accents are as well. Too much action, always staying on the surface. Can't say that I liked it... 27/100.

Despite everything I was pondering in "Spiritual Content" above, attempting to bring some sort of Christian meaning to a tale of Greek gods only goes so far, even in Hollywood. And when both myth and metaphor are stuffed into a low-budget action flick meant for bored 13-year-old boys, things get even funkier. It's hard, to mull over the nature and divinity of Jesus when the movie's "Christ figure" is thwacking his jackal-helmeted enemies with two-ton stones while screaming at the top of his lung
