#10962 - 6 stars for KMcNeil's Review of Dead Set
8 - "Best zombie series/movie/whatever in years. Electric pace, bitingly blunt (but at least not clumsily stupid) satire and without a doubt one of THE best endings ever within the zombie niche. The dread, the macabre killings and the sense that there is no way out. It's claustrophobic and fatalistic like the ending of "Dawn of the Dead". And perhaps even better? It loses a bit of steam midways, but the first and final episodes more than make up for it. This is modern zombie art." -
#10963 - 6 stars for WWallce4prez's Review of The Dark Knight Rises
82 - "Nolan needed to go on rampage mode to approach the level of TDK, and, in this, it seems as if he attempted it. Huge in scale and epic in its scope, The Dark Knight Rises cannot be faulted for its shear power. Lost is some of the finer points of story-telling that the earlier films had, probably due to the copious amount of material and characters thrust into this final act of the trilogy. Still, a massively successful conclusion." -

#10969 - 6 stars for Barthalen's Review of Only Lovers Left Alive
87 - "Slow and meditative take on art, finding things to be passionate about, longing for What Was, purity and all that jazz. Deliciously moody. Also when I realised it's more or less Vampire the Masquerade; Toreador; The Movie I got nerd-giddy and started imagining other options. Malkavian, directed by Lynch. Ventrue, by Fincher. Tzimisce, by Cronenberg. Brujah, by Neveldine and Taylor. ...And now it's time to gather up the last shattered remains of my selfrespect and quietly exit out the back." -
#10970 - 6 stars for hellsditch's Review of Dirty Harry
74 - "Why won't those damn dirty liberals (aka, friends of murderers) let Harry do his job, fer chrissakes?! He's got a killer to catch! Ok ok, for real. Definite mixed bag here. Clint really had all of his pitches working at this stage in his career and he makes the character work. His presence elevates the material. But I can't get past this: Why did his superiors ask 'ole Dirty, knowing full well that he could not possibly help himself from "going rogue", to deliver the ransom money twice? TWICE!"
