I'm watching this and Dave is talking about content from a non-fiction book as his closer and it's making me want to read.. And it's insightful. And the president makes roast jokes at people. It's like living through a Twilight Zone episode.

So jealous of those who got to see a set this intimate. This is less purely funny than usual, but he's got a lot to say that's worth hearing. And it's still damn funny.

Another outstanding performance

A more heartfelt commentary on society in an intimate setting than comedy set and Chappelle kills it. I don't always agree with his observations, but I understand them completely. He should do more of these.

Starting with cleverly insightful comedic challenging and deconstructing, and ending with poignant illustrative storytelling.

This Chappelle special just stands out, in the wrong way. Chappelle appears to be going out of his way to preach, and the point doesn't land very often.

I particularly enjoyed the more intimate setting, nevertheless the more contemplative nature of the show doesn't always pay off, and nor do all the jokes. Still, Chappelle pulls off some pretty thought-provoking bits that render "The Bird Revelation" a memorable special.

A little weaker but still kind of interesting.

So much to unpack, just spilling knowledge at every stop. Love the laid back acoustics and atmosphere.

As usual Dave is funny.

Chappelle's second issuing of double Netflix specials is far weaker and far less consistently funny than the excellent first batch. As with Equanimity, it starts off decent enough, but needs to get funnier as it goes on, not so devoid of humour that gets replaced with morose cultural analysis that it basically becomes a fucking Ted talk. I felt awkward watching the last half of this, not because of the topics brought up, but because of how quiet the room became -- that's a bad sign for stand-up

Chappelle in a more philosophical tone. He's super entertaining to just listen to even if you aren't laughing your ass off.
