Some cool parkour in the first 5 minutes, and that's really all you need to see and it's never topped from there. The acting is not there, the story really isn't either and it's just not exciting enough and stimulating enough to make up for those deficiencies. The line "buckle up" was sort of sad to hear.

The story is so aggressively cliched and the acting very over the top. Honestly what makes this movie worth watching is the legitimately good parkour, the decent car chase scenes, and that hilariously cheesy finale that is so absurd that you can't help but feel like it made up for how predictable the rest of the movie is.

Yeah, its really not all that good. Walker, Belle, and RZA, aren't at their best, if they have them, and the direction is sloppy and too fast-paced; very reminiscent of Taken 2 and 3. It's not all bad, the premise is cool and some of the stunts are nice but its nothing to go home and tell your mother about.

Exceedingly dumb, but zippy and kinetic and harmless. And it's short, so it's over quickly. And you could do worse on a slow weekend afternoon when there isn't much else going on. Just don't spend too much time thinking about it. In fact, don't spend ANY time thinking about it.

A little bit late to the parkour party, but not too late to have been trendy at the time. Unfortunately, "Brick Mansions" was marred by too many issues to make it actually entertaining and a sense of expectation because of Walker's untimely death. Only eight years later, this movie now feels like a shitty attempt to cash in on a craze more fleeting than Pogs.

I thought this made just fine, but why bother when you hardly change anything and it wasn't really a dialogue driven original anyway.

Brick Mansions is at best a guilty pleasure, and that's exactly what it is for me. Walker, Belle, and RZA are pretty mediocre, with that the plot isn't exactly original, but it works just fine. To a degree, the film's sloppy cutting and lack of direction does show its rear. It's at its best when it centered on action and parkour, the cinematography is done quite well, and is its best asset. Overall, not the greatest end game for Paul Walker, although it's tribute to him is nice.

Maybe I'm grading on a curve. A Europacorp film with coherent action scenes is a rare thing indeed, and the plot was amusing in its total lack of logic and sense - and weird social message that doesn't quite gel - so I might have kind of overlooked a lot of bad acting and whatnot since it exceeded my expectations by a wide margin.

Kısaca tipik Luc Besson filmi demek lazım ama Paul Walker'ın bitirdiği son film olmasıyla ayrı bir önem taşıyor. Yüksek tempo, heyecanlı sahneler barındıran son zamanlarda az bulunan birinci sınıf aksiyon filmi diğer taraftan sadece Paul Walker'a veda etmek için bile izlenebilir.

RZA as a crime boss with an underling named "Reyzah" is the best. I didn't realize parkour was still a thing.

I loved the original but this took that story added bad ill fitting music, bad dialog and unneeded lame story and Paul Walker in the place of a fighter and you get another dumbed down American remake.

It's always nice to see some quality parkour but I guess they couldn't fill the entire movie with it... so they filled it with other shite instead.

Well, not a good PG-13 remake of the Luc Besson-produced 2004 flick -- not enough le parkour stunts, guys, athough the subversive people-against-the-police plot looks incredibly fun and childish --, but worth seeing if you like Walker's plain and simple acting charisma.

This movie should just be called "Parkour". That's the main reason to see this film. It's not a bad movie. It is perfectly fine. I liked Luc Besson's writing (for the most part) and the action sequences were filmed in a very interesting way. The problem was that after you see the cool parkour parts done by the inventor of parkour himself, David Belle, you won't see a whole lot of other interesting things...

i was completely alone in the movies, in a 200+ Hall. Its basically a 1on1 copy or a rip off of the frech original banlieue 13, which im a huge fan of. So you dont f*** with the original. and walker isnt a fighter. The end is a bit different but its boring if you watched the french original

ROBERT MAILLET! On the plus side, it's an easy movie to watch; they only REALLY want you to pay attention to the parkour when it slows down. At full speed the action is filmed so shakily, it's barely worth trying to pay attention to. The movie essentially lives and dies on interesting/funny/exciting moments, and it's not like they're not there. The movie only KINDA takes itself seriously, so there are some pretty alright moments. Not really enough to save it, though. See it if you're into it.

It's one of those "nothin' better to do on a slow day" kinda movies, meaning, if you want to just kill an hour and a half with something that isn't really that good but still ends up being mildly entertaining... then this is a movie you can go to. The plot is silly, with how a drug lord ends up becoming the hope for the people, but the parkour-action scenes are pretty decent and while it doesn't work real well, it works enough to be a bit of fun. You have to ignore the many shortcomings though.

Objectively speaking, this isn't a very good movie. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun with it. I was never sure whether the plot conveniences and clichés were intentionally funny or not, but they sure as hell made me laugh. The action isn't nearly as good as I hoped, with lots of quick cuts and not a lot of actual fighting. But at the end, I still had fun with it.

Fast-moving, free-wheeling trifle. The free-running sequences are the strongest; they're all too few in number, but when they do show up, they're mighty impressive. Worth a look.

A poor story, awful script and some bad acting doesnt make this one a good watch. The opening sequence does give you hope with an excellent parkour chase/fight scene but unfortunately it goes down hill from there. Paul Walker definitely wont be remembered for this rubbish!

Like in old times. Perfect action - no time for touchy scenes. Perfectly balanced humour. Sligtly exaggerated abilities. This is an art of action movie.

Besides substituting jumpy clamation style stop-moion for shaky cam, it was a leftist ambush piece which wasn't apparent until the movie was 9/10ths over, which was the only crappy aspect I hadn't expected. I don't know how Paul Walker's going to rest in peace after this one.

Those 90 minutes are crammed with a continual regurgitation of pretty much the same gun-blazing, back-flipping, ghetto fight scene. They're consumed with crass and banal dialogue. And they're obsessed with a story that's witless, inane and maybe even a bit dangerous--a tale where a deadly cleaver-wielding drug lord is suddenly transformed into a disenfranchised people person. Why, he was just selling all that heroin to ease the masses' suffering! (pluggedin.com)
