Very well done, although it does tend to fall back at times on what is known to work, the acting is marvelous, the singing superb, and it's just a gorgeous film.

Moving and inspirational -- it may not offer many surprises, but like a fine piece of music, there is beauty when hearing it played with precision, even if we've heard it countless times before.

An uplifitng, moving, beautiful piece of filmmaking that's hindered only slightly by cliche.

got me ... nothing new here, but this indeed very well done, in every aspect.

The touching story itself will pinch trough even the thickest armour, but the addition of the singing makes it a real masterpiece.

Generic, trite, seen it all before. Yes it's all these but so so well executed that it flies, blossoms even. Moving in the extreme!

Yet another variant on TO MR CHIPS WITH LOVE: a cut above the average thanks to a nicely understated tone, with the expected moments of sentiment and revelation never laid on with a too heavy hand, matching Jugnot’s quiet, almost enigmatic performance as Mathieu. The film’s strength almost tips into a liability, as the lack of dramatic fire turns the film a bit sleepy at times, but the good spirits, and never-fail formula, ultimately win the day. Bonus points for the lovely boys choir singing!

Really Good

Didn't plan to watch at first place. But as my soul was crying to something beautiful, then bought the ticket. I would say, it was really worth it as the musical part was heavenly. The plot is well-known but there is also heart-breaking drama elements.

Beautifully crafted, simple, timeless, uplifting story.

Pretty good but could have done better. They needed to do something more with Pépinot who was just kind of there. They also had the start of a story with Le Querrec but it never went anywhere and the kid just disappears for the rest of the movie. Mondain was a distraction. That being said, the story does somehow manage to come together and the singing is great so it's worth a watch.

Really liked this film. Now, it's by no means a groundbreaking, genre-defying, masterpiece, however it is beautifully made and a lot of fun. The narrative falls a bit flat, and there isn't any particularly noteworthy cinematography but I still found it very enjoyable. A nice little heartwarming story, with decent acting and a great soundtrack. Definitely worth a watch.

Nice little feel good movie... The story has been told before, but you cannot take away the great acting from some of the boys... I was a little afraid of the redhead...
