Probably the only show that got me close to pissing my pants with laughter.

Perhaps the most under rated comedy show that ever existed, this is great thanks to Chris O'Dowd and Richard Ayoade. The writing is perfect, the jokes full of great thought. Definitely not for everyone as some jokes are geared towards the geek crowd. It works for me as I enjoy both well timed satirical jokes with underlying character development gift wrapped inside them and the need culture on display within the series.

I unfairly avoided and derided it for years because of my loathing for Chris O'Dowd and the amount of annoying twats who seem to love it. Once I gave it a shot after stumbling upon a couple of episodes that I found pretty funny and it grew on me a lot. Chris Morris, Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade hold it all together and there aren't too many episodes. As such it remains compact, tight and doesn't outstay its welcome.

Matt Berry is hands down the funniest character in this.

It bounces up and down in quality but at it's peak it's hilarious. FFFAAAAATTTTHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA

I just watched this show for the first time this year and I absolutely loved it. It does start a little slow, but you quickly get attached to these characters and there are a ton of laugh out loud moments throughout. I wish it went on longer than it did.

"The IT Crowd" follows the sitcom tropes rather faithfully and now and then is dragged down by uninspired premises but on the whole it offers some big laughs. The special is probably the highlight of the show, as the bigger duration allows for a more ambitious plot, nevertheless classic moments can be found in the other episodes as well, not least thanks to show-stealer Chris O'Dowd and extremely solid performances by Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry.

Series 1 and 2 raised the bar a little too high for the show to remain consistent. Although it fell from grace after, it still remained very very funny. The main cast are outrageously funny and share a strange sort of chemistry. From moment to moment, the IT Crowd remains loud, obnoxious and best of all side splittingly hilarious.

It really isn't good at all, but Richard Ayoade makes me feel like I'm on helium.

It's ok. The first season is mostly garbage, the rest is a mix of insultingly bad and funny moments. It's worth watching it for the good bits if you have time to waste.

The funniest thing ever filmed. If you watched the Calamity Jen and didn't cry laughing there is something wrong with you.

The first season is okay, but the second is crap. Richard Ayoade kills it.

Took me a second watch through to fully "get" Matt Berry's performance, now he's a favorite of mine. Richard Ayoade is one of the funniest humans alive and the IT Crowd gives him an excellent character to play around with. The "Final Episode" special that came later is great also and feels right at home with the rest of the show, impressive considering the amount of time that had passed.

Pleasant if traditional sitcom, that from time to time even made me laugh until I about couldn't breathe. Ayoade is MVP although everyone gets plenty of time to shine. Initially kind of square and even retrograde in its humor--nerds are sexually frustrated! Women are obsessed with shoes! Don't gay men make you uncomfortable?--though this lessens, or at least fades to the background, in later seasons as the writing becomes more ambitious and the scenarios more off-the-wall.

Has it's moments.
