Captain Ron

"Captain Ron" is like a ethereal, lingering semi-reality that has haunted the back of mind for many a year! "What was that film with Kurt as a slobbish captain who never does up his shirt, but learns a valuable lession about the value of companionship during the course of a terrible movie?", I would wonder to myself late a night very betwixed and confused! Then one day Criticker gave me the answer! Horrendously bad, but also soooo good!

Stupid, yet enjoyable. Maybe it's just my appreciation for both Martin Short and Kurt Russell but this is one of those movies I always watch when I come across it on TV.

Just...ugh...blah, I hate even taking the time to write about this idiotic mess. As a devout Kurt Russell fan, I cannot abide this travesty in any way.

I saw this film late at night on one of the movie channels, I was in high school and sleep deprived. Call it nostalgia or delirium but I didn't think it was that bad?

Solid comedy on the high seas with Kurt Russell as a hilariously aloof and drunk Captain Ron.

For some reason I kinda like this film. I think it's the transcendance of Kurt Russell - he's magnetic, even in the shittiest of surroundings.

You totally get to see half of the mom's boob in the shower scene. umm kurt russel is awesome.

Probably would've been cooler if Kurt Russell played a retired commando who's running tours in the Bahamas when his boat is hijacked by pirates and he has to rescue the president (played by Martin Short) and his family. I call this one "Escape from Captain Ron".
