The cat Forrest Gump's his way through the three stories, eventually becoming a main character and embarking on an epic duel with a puppet. I recently watched Trilogy of Terror and this is definitely in the same vein, right down to the show closing puppet. Recommended for smokers and non smokers alike, acrophobiacs and free climbers, cat lovers and mouth breathers.

So we're going to pretend the mannequin-ghost that was talking to the cat never happened? No importance?

That pigeon... Biggest troll in cinema history! I could rate higher but third section was pretty poor.

"Quitters Inc." and "The Ledge" are two of King's scarier stories on paper, but filmed they acquire Twilight-Zoney camp qualities, more from conscious choice on the filmmakers' part than simply an inability to frighten. The final section lacks the sadistic edge that makes the other two engaging. The unified style and use of recurring motifs makes it more cohesive and respectable than most horror anthologies of its day, but it's still distinctly lame throughout in a way they all were.

it's sadistically funny and well executed, definitely among the better king adaptations.

Starts out well, gets better and then spontaneously combusts with the third segment which combines "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" and the third act of "Trilogy of Terror" into one hot mess.

James Woods saves this movie, but it's too bad he's in the first segment, because the rest of the movie just makes me wish I was watching other Stephen King movies it references incessantly.

Horror anthology that feels like a bizarrely short but predictably meh TV miniseries that I'm used to seeing from King's works. "The Ledge" is definitely the best tale, considering the stakes and tension from the realistic and sadistic ordeal and the execution, but James Woods makes "Quitters Inc." good too, or at least better than it might be due to his slightly goofy performance. Overall, a quite lackluster but slightly enjoyable collection. Stephen should stick to novels and not screenplays.

Cute cat. Fantastic actor, that cat, hope it got a good post-wrap mackerel. The first two stories are better than their sources, thanks to darn good casts and decent scripts. The third story, not an adaptation, lacks those things. There's something compelling about the little goblin character and his adversarial relationship with our feline hero (a low fantasy take on certain peripheral elements of Lovecraft's dream cycle?), but as it stands, it's inspired but half-realized coke talk.

James Woods' "Quitters, Inc." section is a pretty damn good short. The rest of the movie is utterly forgettable.

I guarantee these stories suck in the printed form, but in live-action anthology mode, it all comes out really good. Similar in tone to Creepshow, but with an emphasis on the goofy over horror. Bonus points for hilarious 80s effects, music, & James Woods. Nostalgia be damned - this rules.

This was pretty solid little anthology with a great way of tying the stories together with the help of a cat. That cat was the best part of the movie, really, along with the various King references in the very beginning of it. First story was pretty good, middle one was the weakest and the last one with the gremlin and the cat + a baby Drew Barrymore was certainly my favorite. Movies need more cat heroes.

These 80's flicks are sweet. The frame story of a cat is a bit lame and none of shorts are not exactly horror. The first story with James Woods was terribly comical and though the last about kids breath stealer was not necessarily entertainment it was perfectly set. I liked the most the middle one. That was a pure fun and thrill though the lead did not success till the end of it. All in all a fine time warp to 80's and more or less sold film making.

The pacing is swift, the stories generate sufficient suspense, and the tone remains refreshingly throwaway throughout. Even the multiple in-jokes (e.g., cameos by King's killer car, Christine, and murderous mutt, Cujo) are more self-mocking than self-aggrandizing. This is no _Creepshow_, but it stacks up as an adequate time-filler chiller.

I'm a big fan of the short stories "Quitters, Inc." and "The Ledge," so I enjoyed this film. If they had replaced the third story with another classic King short story, the trifecta would have been awesome, but the movie kind of ends on a lower note.

I'm a big fan of the anthology-type shows and movies and this one is good, but I've seen better. It's low budget, but I have to note that the special effects are obvious and corny. The three stories themselves are moderately intriguing, with the first one being the strongest.

the first two stories in this movie were pretty good with some intense scenes that really got me into the movie. The last story was kind of silly and didn't seem to fit in with the movie at all.

The anthology horror movie is a woefully underserved market, and despite uneven segments, Cat's Eye was one of the last good ones.

Mediocre Stephen King short stories usually start strong, with a good idea, but have weak endings. This tendency holds true of the first two of three segments of *Cat's Eye*. In the two weak segments, a cat catalyzes the action (so to speak), but is irrelevant to the plot's resolution. The film hits its stride in the third segment, in which a little girl's pet cat is instrumental to the final action, and does battle an evil elf that lives behind the walls of her owner's bedroom.

Perhaps I'm a minority here, but I love the last story of this anthology movie. It has kind of a Grimm's Fairy Tale type vibe; one part horror and one part child's fantasy. Plus that animatronic troll (or whatever) scared the crap out of me when I was little. Quitter's Inc is a nice adaptation of King.. and The ledge feels kind of weak, but passable. A good rent if you're a fan of Creepshow.

Plus: Melhor uso do The Police EVER. Se isso não prova que Every breath you take retrata um relacionamento abusivo, nada mais o faz. BlurayRip RARBG.

I remember liking the first two stories in this movie but not being a big fan of the last one (or was it two, i forget how many stories were in this movie). The troll one was lame, but the one starring James Woods was awesome. Not a great film but still worth a watch.

Thia is an interesting film. I enjoyed the first story the most out of the 3 tales. The third tale gets a little bit silly near the 0ned of it. The ensemble cast for the most part does a good job here. Overall I would recommend this film.

Revisiting this was a lot more enjoyable than I expected; the first segment may actually be genuinely brilliant. The last segment didn't age as well, but it's the one people remember, and a classic for those of us who grew up in the 80s. The middle chapter is unremarkable, but not awful. If you haven't seen this since you were a kid, it's worth checking out again, at least once.
