Not that great of a sequel. The film is pretty pointless and doesn't have any of the heart the previous films had. This would have worked better as a straight-to-Peacock film.

Honestly, there was nothing particularly special about this, and it was missing some of the cast from the other movies too. There were plenty chuckles here and there, but the story just wasn't that interesting and I found myself drifting off and losing focus on the movie at times. Definitely felt like it was missing something compared to the others.

Okay, first: coming into ANY franchise on the fourth entry is a bad idea... talking to me on that one. Second: I always take note of how the kids are reacting to the movie when I go see kids movies - THEY are the target audience, after all - and here it seemed... decent, I guess? I didn't find this heavy on the laughs but it's charming, even though it lacked a lot of the characters from previous entries. Zhen is an endearing addition. I think there's room for one more - MAYBE two. I'd be down.

An 8 year wait and a lacklustre script don't do any favours for Kung Fu Panda 4. The animation is great as per usual, as is the voice acting which I appreciate more every time a celebrity voice cast is used badly. The film is still occasionally funny, but this time round it feels like it's trying too hard without enough of the heart to back it up. There some mixed messaging about doing the right thing for the wrong reason. McShane back as Tai Lung is the highlight. Just alright.

Fun! The choreography almost rivals that in the first movie, and both Poe's sidekick and the bad guy are welcome additions.

Solid. Yes, the story doesn't add much besides populating the Kung Fu Panda world a bit more, but the point of a kids' movie is to have fun. And this one does.

The feeling permeating it is... The pointlessness of it all, with even entire scenes that could be cut without changing anything, and the story itself adds little to the characters. That said, the cover of "...Baby one more time" by Tenacious D is an absolute banger.

Not bad. Different from the others which was nice. How actually weak must the chameleon be to be taken down by a random nobody wolf

First one in the series that feels pretty generic and predictable, and sort of rushed too. The villain was entertaining, just not fleshed out. The choreography was super fun, just not up to par with the rest. There were some chuckles, just few big laughs. I will say that it’s still really well made and acted. I was more than glad to revisit this world and my favorite panda! Also really dug the climax. I’ll be curious to see where they go from here. For a fourth movie, it’s really not bad!

It’s not groundbreaking or particularly special, but it is a very well made film. The cinematography and fight choreography is really well thought out, and the jokes are pretty funny. It’s nice to see physical comedy alive and well in animated films. The bull in a china shop gag was straight up hilarious.

It was a fun and entertaining movie, but I feel that it treats the viewers as if we are stupid. It's very predictable, thus having very low stakes. The moral of the story is also, in my opinion, not the strongest. However, some bits are fun to watch and I did enjoy it, but it's not really a great movie for any thought.

Some funny moments - it does have Jack Black - and mostly harmless kid-fare. Neither my daughter nor I had seen any of the previous movies and we were fine keeping up with everything that happened. I do have to admit I fell asleep for 10 minutes in the theater in the middle of the movie. Take that for what you will.

It’s a notably weaker effort than the any of the first 3 films, all of which I have something of a soft spot for. It still by-and-large hits its targets and tropes, but KFP4 feels like a franchise running out of steam. It does continue the franchises history of entertaining villains, but overall a little less creative, a little more lazy and lacking some heart and charm.

I thought that this was an improvement over the 3rd one and better than you would expect from a 4th film in a series. It was a good decision to cut down the characters for this, and make it more of an adventure. The big twist was obvious and the end fight doesn't quite deliver, but the film has a good pace, the new sidekick was quite good, it's pretty funny and very pleasing visually.

A poorly written, nothing burger of a cash grab. Just tedious as hell. The villain is so hilariously bad.

Honestly not a bad movie, but it isn't a good movie either, I felt like Dreamworks could of easily just not made this movie tbh, also some of the plot made absolutely no sense like how Shen and Po's dad WERE IN THE SAME ROOM, if you watch KFP2, you easily now how terrible Shen was in the 2nd one and Dad importance, this moment in the movie makes no sense, and then having Shen bow to Po at the end, even so it's not in Shen personality/character to even do that is just baffling to me.
