Starts well but then goes off the rails with some spastic nonsense. No, I don't know anything about Aphex Twin.

Beginning was an incredibly creepy treat, but after the gimmick wears off the video just drags on.

Good, silly fun. Actually, it starts off really creepy (which I actually preferred) and then it becomes good silly fun.

At first it's really creepy, but that feeling evaporates pretty fast. It sure is always crazy though.

It has this certain bad-computer-game, hypnotic-brainwash appeal.

Worth seeing just because it's weird, but not worth spending money on. Yet another of Chris Cunningham's "I'm weird, look! Pay attention to me!" short movies.

Fortunately I was given a backstory before I watched this, because the "movie" itself doesn't bother giving you much of a storyline. It starts off interesting with a short interview, but then the music starts and from there it's just random images of a pale disfigured guy dancing. Nothing in the clip itself suggests that there's anything special about his body apart from the obvious deformation, but it's hard to tell from the mess. More of a music video than a movie.

Moderately effective if rather unpleasant music video, the significance of which largely eluded this viewer, beyond the aim of concocting creepiness and advertising the accompanying music.

Extremely uncomfortable viewing. Cunningham's control over the image is uncanny. Sadly this short film/music video wants little else but to dazzle with it's technical innovation, and 'Rubber Johnny' end up feeling very "show reel'-ish. It will do while we wait for Cunningham to make his first real movie. A venture into horror, perhaps?

In hindsight, this short music video by Chris Cunningham, infamous for his Come To Daddy video for Aphex Twin, is not as good as some of his other work (Monkey Drummer is far more better in terms of its titular image). As music videos go though, this is still hypnotic and grotesquely whimsical, standing out on top of hundreds of forgettable ones.

Visually impressive. Simply has the feel of an Apex Twin video, which obviously isn't a bad thing.

It starts off creepy but by the time it becomes a music video it's just funny. I guess this is an internet classic.

Weird and awesome as hell. The horror genre should take a note from this.

I wish the face-splattering effects had stuck around long enough to really admire and enjoy, because they're the most interesting and believable effect exhibited here.

Aphex Twin are kinda meh, but the video is cute. Watch this at night if you can't sleep, it will give you something to dream about.

Er, this is mostly an Aphex Twin music video. At first I thought it was going to be a weird and disturbing little film, but once the got going I felt like I was watching a messed up blobby raver. The effects and editing are pretty impressive I suppose. I like Cunningham's other Aphex videos quite a bit more.
