Impersonation / False Identity
A collaborative collection moderated by nauru
"This collection is for films in which a main character assumes a false identity and the viewer gets to share in his or her deceit. False identity means pretending to be an entirely other person, with false name and fake identification documents. It does not mean pretending to be a school teacher when you are not actually a school teacher, or pretending to be jewish when you're not actually jewish.
Please do not add films in which the existence of a false identity is only evident to the viewer at the end of the film. The viewer must share in the deception for the majority of the film for a film to qualify.
NOTE: the character must assume a false identity, not just false traits! Pretending to be a certain religion when the character is actually not that religion does NOT qualify as a false identity. Thanks!"
