The show is better but it's interesting to see some of David's standup. "The one thing I admire about Hitler is that he didn't take any shit from magicians."

The show is brilliant(10/10). This is a bit less brilliant

Larry David perfectly expresses what we're all thinking in this brilliant pilot for a brilliant series. You'd think that seeing Larry David wander around calling people cunts would get old after a while. But it doesn't. He goes where we all want to but can't bring ourselves to, and for that, he deserves to be called a comedic genius.

The brief glimpses at Larry's standup make this more than worthwhile.

This is not a pilot but more of a made-for-TV movie that was then turned into the series. Curb Your Enthusiasm is not necessarily as funny as Seinfeld, it uses less styles of comedy, definitely not the more traditional kinds... But it's a purified example of Larry David's particular brand of humor, which isn't always comic, sometimes it's downright TRAGIC, but either way it's intelligent and insightful.

Good, but pretty underwhelming considering the brilliant show that came from it.

Larry David consegue ser mais pessimista quanto a natureza humana do que eu.

Nothing sepcial. The series is hilarious, even possibly the funniest thing to ever make it to television, but this movie/pilot did nothing for me.

Larry David makes me so uncomfortable. And I love that.

This is much better than the series actually, it has a bit of a feeling of Zelig. Well, Larry David sometimes looks like an elongated version of Woody Allen, so there should be no surprise there.

In comedy, there is Monty Python and then there is Curb. That is all. This is weaker than the actual series but the best place to start, obviously.

Frustrating in large doses, but believable and humorous if you can stand the irritation caused by chafing personalities.

I loved this pilot and watched a few season but the show became unwatchable to me because everyone that surrounds David overeactions were so grating and insane.

Very promising pilot. Larry David (despite everything) is very watchable :)

Hilarious. I could watch it every day and never get bored, LD is easily one of the funniest men ever in television.

Great pilot for what would become one of my favourite shows on TV.

Not nearly as funny as the eventual series, but still entertaining and intriguing for its novel concept.

Larry David is a genius, and even though he has less hair than me and is twice my age, my missus is in love with him and actually may leave me for him. This first episode is good, but as a whole the show is awesome.

Not as good as the series it spawned, but still quite fantastic. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad Seinfeld ended when it did because it allowed Larry David to do Curb, which is probably the superior show.

This has been my favorite show since it came out. It's revolutionized the whole 'improv' acting style. They've all gotten so good at it I sometimes forget they shoot the show that way. Larry David is nothing short of brilliant and the character he plays is is a cross between a stubborn brat and a genius. There's a little bit of Larry in all of us which is what makes the show so fantastic.

On the series: Larry David amuses in this comedy, starring as himself, arguing "normal" people to their wits end with his contrary whims and hypocritical bullshitting. Famous for it's awkward moments and outrageous improv, Curb Your Enthusiasm delves into the emotions we all go through in our minds, but never speak upon for fear of being named a prick. But Larry will take it there. The show can some times be a bit over the top, but watching shameless Larry with his palms up is entertainment.
