Decent remake that isn't nearly as good as the original. It's not even as good as it thinks it is. Some parts of this film are really terrible and some are pretty good but overall it's at best decent.

The Uninvited is a psychological thriller film that's actually somewhat scary and always entertaining. On the first viewing, its final (and really, only) twist was disappointing, but upon a second viewing, I could see how this actually improves the film as a whole. This is a film that does atmosphere well, and with the help of some strong performances and a desire to fake-out the audience at every turn, makes for an enjoyable watch. Compared to other Asian horror remakes, it's quite good.

Actually better than expected. I'm usually not really into horror flicks because they often are ridiculous over the top. This one knew who to hide the most part of it , and surprised me at the end. Diddn't see it coming. But besides that plot twist at the end it hasn't anything extra to offer.

This movie truthfully caught me off-guard. Every inch of it is familiar, and as bad as this movie seems throughout, in the end it came full-circle for me. A lot of the scares (which there are a few), over-the-top performances, and payoffs have been tried and true, yet this one surprised me in a way similar films have not. It's a clever movie wisely disguised as a stupid one.

I thought the ending was handled better here than in A Tale of Two Sisters, if only because it's a bit more clean cut. Another forgettable remake to add to the list.

Emily Browning was good as the young recovering mental patient. Arielle Kebbel was gorgeous & did well as the sister. Elizabeth Banks was lovely as usual but her role gave her no opportunities to shine. The story is full of awful supernatural CGI. David Strathairn did well with the somewhat minor role. The overall plot was good, but its execution was not as satisfying as it should have been, even with the nice twisty ending to explain it all.

Far better than I expected. Loved the twist at the end. A horror flick to be enjoyed and devoured.

Surprisingly, this was pretty good. Suspenseful, no boring parts and a Night Shyamalan-ish twist in the end.

Cliche but passable suspense film until the twist, which ruins it and makes the rest of the film seem somewhat pointless. In better hands it could have been decent, but this just feels unneeded.

[MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS] Oh, how they tried. The movie starts out as the typical american 'horror' movie, with sex, alcohol and barely legal teens. Then moves on to a failed attempt at asian visual story-telling, with boring Grudge-esque scenes which made me facepalm a couple times. Finally, the "clever" finale - the this-is-all-an-illusion twist. Yeah, brilliant, I'm sure no one saw that coming. All and all, an average movie for people who enjoy a casual horror movie.

Basically a great film that sticks it on the ending by trying to be clever, which requires subverting the rest of the film, which makes it feel like a cheap parlor trick. This was a waste of a lot of good effort by the actors and director on a broken script.

Predictable, dumb and uninspired but just about passes the questionable bar of being more entertaining than studying for the exam you're supposed to take tomorrow morning. Consequently I don't even have the energy to go for a cheap title-pun.

A slick genre change and slight plot tweaks can't hide the fact that this is a "Fight Club" rip-off. Even though it's a good movie to rip off, this movie has Hollywood greed written all over it, and where the other succeeds, this movie has only a shell of those great aspects. Don't waste your time here, there are far better.

The twist ending makes this movie a solid movie. The acting is woeful and the plot is poorly constructed. Some of the scary scenes made me laugh, especially the first one with the zombie kid turning his head at 360 degres.

Un thriller décent qui vous enferme dans une intrigue à l'issue imprévisible. Mais c'est traité exactement comme dans un téléfilm commercial pour les ménopausées qui se font chier à regarder des belles-mères martyriser leur entourage. Beaucoup trop propre.

The acting was mediocre, and the beginning was somewhat cliche. Don't let these two flaws throw you off. By the end of the movie, I had a big smile drawn across my face. I watched it two more times just to take it all in. Definitely exceeded expectations!

Underrated horror movie with some great twists, hate on this film is unjustified, it keeps you guessing all the way through and you may not guess the final result, but even if you do you'll still find it interesting.

This was so much better than I expected and the twist at the end really caught me off guard. I must have guessed everything else except the right ending. Didn't realize that this was a remake of a Tale of Two Sisters. Guess I'm going to have to check this out now.

Not very well constructed film, feels fragmented. The script is quite bad and so is the acting. In contrary to many other peoples opinion I found that the ending was not suitable. In my opinion too easy and the easy-way-out plot in this genre. Sure we didn't see that coming, Guard brothers. Cough.

Actually, not half bad for a PG-13 Horror Flick. Don't get me wrong, it IS a B-Movie, but it's kind of refreshing to see a horror flick that relies more on tension than blood and gore. I definitely recommend this one (for a rental)!

The synopsis conveniently left for me on the back of the DVD case was right, my spine was left shaking after that ending. No, it wasn't. This movie was complete garbage. The acting was horrible, everyone tried to seem like they were right and the others were wrong and that's that.
