Red Foreman tops the list of "characters too good for the show they're on."

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I'm younger, so maybe that's why some of this material is more relatable to me, but while I would never say the writing is superb, it works for this show. I think the show presents a lot of situations and ideas that many people at that age resonate with. Also, while a lot of characters are kind of cliche, they still have their own ticks and episodes where you get something a little more than you'd think. I'll always appreciate this.

I will remain steadfast that That 70s Show is one of the greatest sitcoms ever made, barring the last 2 seasons.

A frustrating show at times but has some solid laughs and the women in it are gorgeous. Red is presented as this scary badass who doesn't take shit but really what is he? A loser who barely makes enough money to scrape by, a man who constantly backs down to his wife, and a person who constantly talks about putting his foot in people's asses. Red is the most fake alpha character of all time. Show was unwatchable for the final season

Funny show from my childhood. When I watch it now, it's not quite as good. But I'll never forget watching this on weeknights with my dad and having a fun time

What's amazing is how this series was set 30 years after the time period depicted and manages to say nothing about said period. That's lucky because the 70's were not a time of massive social and societal upheaval thanks to failed wars, feminism, an increasingly globalized economy, and a shift in politics. Wait a minute....

I began watching this show late during its run. It holds a lot of great laughs and some feeling of nostaliga towards a time many look at as the most progressive in human history. A great cast for moat of the run, the final season is what stopped this show from scoring above 90. It was a garbage season with no redeeming qualities. Sad that a show about a great time in history ended on such a low note. Maybe a reunion can be worked out to correct that. We shall see.

Imagine Married with Children albeit the show is not about Al Bundy, but about his children hanging out in his basement and their disastrously normal lives, a little bit How I Met Your Mother -ish! With all the classic charm of the 70's!

I sometimes half-watch reruns of it. Sometimes I chuckle a little. Yep. This show is sure a show that exists.
