Loser

I remember walking through my local Blockbuster, looking for something to rent, when I came across a gem of a film from 2000 that perfectly encapsulated my life, and I thought, "They've finally done it. They've made a movie for a guy like me." That movie was Coyote Ugly.

I know the score I gave it is a little high, but there is something about it that I like. If Mena Suvari could have been replaced, it would be much better. The whole side story with the roommates and the" roofies" could have been replaced with a simple sucky roommates story, not with date rape.

Better than most of Jason Biggs other movies, but hey that's all relative.

Extremely pleasant, standard issue rom-com gets most of its juice from Biggs and Suvari, who make a charming romantic couple - charming enough to make even some of the unnecessarily seedy subplots somewhat palatable (date rape?!?!) Similarly, Kinnear is quite smarmily good here, but the darker aspects of his character aren't given their proper weight, and arguably don't belong in such a lightweight affair anyway (bar the almost hilariously brutal post-credits sting).

This movie reinforces my opinion of NYU brats.

Like usual, another unfunny teen comedy.

Biggs and Suvari team up again to try and make another hit, with rather mediocre results. Not nearly a strong enough script to make this memorable. At least a cool hand sign/symbol came out of it, or maybe it was a thing already.

I didn't buy this for a second -- at NYU, this guy would have come off as cool.

Jason Biggs is basically Jim from the American Pie series again, except his character is much more likable and fleshed out here. This isn't a great film by any means, but it's much nicer and cuter than the Pie movies, and you don't get annoyed or have hatred for anyone like the Pie movies.

One of the only funny lines in the film apparently did not survive past the trailer, so this was basically entirely dull.

An unfunny version of 'The Apartment'. Has very little going for it at all. A pointless film.

Nerd gets the girl because he actually cares about her. I'm sure some dudes who think they are stuck in the friend zone as the girl they obsess over goes out with other dudes think this is a masterpiece.

Definately one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was boring and made me upset and angry all at once. Mena Suvari was being a babe though.

More light hearted than funny, surprisingly engaging, ultimately fluffy, too good for it's own good lead boy. Cute and rote.

A pretty predictable romantic comedy with very thin characters and few laughs. The pop punk soundtrack is a nice throwback to the year 2000. Unfortunately the fashion and hairstyles are as well.

I would say that Jason Biggs should stop playing the geeky loser type before he gets typecast, but I think it's safe to say that we are past this point now.

fun to watch if you accidentally stumble into this movie on tv, and that's about it.

Holy graciousness what a loser-film. The only thing that keeps this movie on its feet is Suvaris great looks.

This is the typical standard teen comedy. A little funny, a little sad, sometimes. But pass the time.
