Very entertaining. Smith's energy and charisma carry the show, even through its less inspired moments. If you want to identify a true '90s kid, sing "Now this is a story..." and they'll take it from there.

As much as Will Smith was the shining star of the series who went on to be a mega movie star, the golden rule is that you're only as good as your supporting cast. I think the reason Will's star shone so bright was because of the amazing cast that he was able to bounce his light off of, mainly Carlton, Hilary and Uncle Phil. Jazzy Jeff getting thrown out of the house never got old.

Inconsistent but credit to interjecting actual messages in many of its episodes.

Now this is a story about how my life turned upside down and fell in love with a story about The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air .....On a serious note this show is probably one of the Best All Time Comedies PERIOD! And on occasion takes time out for series topics and relevant issues My favorite.moments usually involve Jazz getting tossed out

One of the most talented casts ever assembled for a TV comedy. Will Smith does a good job but the real star is James Avery (Uncle Phil), whose screen presence is on a level rarely seen.

I loved this as a kid and I still do now. Strong plotlines? No. Strong characters and development? No. Believable? Not even from the start. But great to watch? Absolutely!

Not funny and actually cringe-inducing when it tries serious but he's a very charismatic guy and some of the others are OK too.

This defined my youth. It is also the reason I still love everything Will Smith does without hesitation, but it has aged really poorly :-)

One of the only redeemable family sitcoms of its era. It dealt with actual themes and wasn't just white washing the past.

Fresh Prince is just one of those shows you have to watch. It's got a ton of hilarious moments, but plenty of heartfelt stuff in there too. Such a great show.

Very good show when I was a kid. I remember liking Carlton and Hilary the most on this show as they were the stars who elevated Will Smith throughout the Series.

It's easy to write this show off as a launch vehicle for Will Smith with a catchy opening theme song but there are some genuinely good moments to be had here. This is not some great 90's sitcom but there were more memorable moments than a show like this would normally have.

It was never really my bag. Follows an obvious sitcom formula, in this case the "fish out of water" trope as opposed to "lifestyles of the rich and famous", "show about nothing" or "man has nagging wife and kids and regrets ever having sex or being born with a penis". It's uncomplicated and very American, so you don't have to think hard and it's got plenty of pop culture references, which by now are dated or nostalgic depending on how fondly you remember the times.

It was passable, and timely in its way.
