Trashy fun with some pretty cool make-up and a little Evil Dead flair. I had to chuckle at the demons though. They can't leave the house because of reasons and only manifest one night a year. So they occupy a bunch of teens, only to.. what? Sit around a crummy house until they have to leave again at dawn? I'd like to see a sequel about this scenario. Just a bunch of demons hanging out, bored, being annoyed that they didn't really think their plans through.

Cheesy 80's horror with a lot of the expected tropes. A group of unlikable teens trapped in a remote location where death follows their attempts at partying and sexy times. A REALLY slow start, overflowing with bad acting, makes this a bit of a slog to sit through before all the demon hijinks starts to kick off. However, it has a enough interesting gags and shots to make it worth a watch for fans of low-rent horror.

LQ shoves a flashlight inside her boob and some other nonsense happens because demons can't cross running water.

Craptastic and campy 80s nonsense, with some great 80s staple characters and suitably schlocky gore effects. That chunky guy REALLY wanted to party; lots of use of the word "party" both as a noun and a verb. Anyway. It's rubbish, but it's good fun.

A solid, but out-dated horror flick, demons have always been an underused horror element often overshadowed by cheaper villians like blade wielders in jumpsuits. But this flick has more than it's share of downtime and bad acting, a side effect of spending all your money on make-up, I presume, not a bad investment, if you ask me.

God help me, I liked it. Not sure why. The makeup effects are surprisingly good, especially for a low budget 80's schlockfest. The story's about as cliched as you can get but it's still fun.

Really campy 80s horror flick about a big group of cliche stereotype teenage characters who break into an abandoned funeral home to party on Halloween. They hold a seance and awaken a demon who possesses the kids one by one. Takes a while to get going and the gore is kinda cheesy, but it has a few fun moments. Plus, Linnea Quigley's tits are always a welcome sight (she spends the whole movie whoring it up in a pink babydoll dress and six inch heels).

I know I'm a cheese, but I think I found one of my new favorite movies. It's not good. I get it. I get that there's not a lot of good that's going to come from marathoning one 80's horror cult classic every day for the next while, but dammit I'm going to have fun. A particular high point is the scene where the devil dances to rock and roll music. I won't defend it, but I will say that if you have an open mind you're in for a good time.

Gets a bit repetitive towards the end (how many times can Rodger and Judy almost escape?), but otherwise this is typical dumb 80s horror fun.

We need to spend money on FX. We really need to spend money on FX. We need a rewrite, pay a writer. We need PA's and AD's to keep the actors coordinated, and in fighting condition... Sorry, Kev, you blew 90% of your budget on that fucking Bauhaus song. That song is already 6 years old, what the hell were you aiming for? Relevance? All 10 surviving goths in 1988 who don't listen to The Cure exclusively-- is that a demo?

Aside from a neat animated opening-credits sequence, this movie's sole saving grace is the always welcome presence of scream queen Quigley, who makes a memorable rearview entrance here and sticks around long enough to perform one of her patented topless scenes before transmogrifying into a screeching devil-creature further burdened by poor orthodontal work.

Impressively nutso 80s haunted house/zombie/demon possession flick with plenty of cheese and gore and nudity to go around. Also, the black guy lives to the end!

Better served if it had been only 90 minutes, but once it really gets moving I wouldn't touch a frame. For enthusiast this has "Halloween staple" written all over it in pink lipstick by taking all the good genre conventions and doing them well while mixing in a few elements of its own. From FADE IN to FADE OUT this is really a horror fan's fevered dream come true.

Took a really long time to get to the good stuff. It gets good when Bauhaus starts playing. Cheesy acting and dialogue but has that 80's charm that can't be denied. Really funny demon voices.

Insanely campy. Really wanted to like it more than I did because there are flashes of brilliance, and some great halloween atmosphere, but most of it is pretty generic teen horror. The Bauhaus dance scene is amazing.

I hated the beginning of this what with the lame story, shitty acting and horrible dialogue. The second half is a lot better but it can't really save the film. I really like the end of the film however.

A perfectly schlocky blend of awful dialogue and horrible, over-the-top performances. The only real entertainment value in the first half is laughing at the movie's expense, but there's some legitimate entertainment in the second half, like the creative barbed wire climbing sequence and all of the killer low-budget SPFX work courtesy of Steve Johnson, who was on the effects team for much better movies like Predator, Videodrome, and An American Werewolf in London.

Pleasantly formulaic '80s horror pic. More fun than Tenney's initial success -- the overrated _Witchboard_ -- with slick photography and good Steve Johnson makeup FX; too bad the characters are so obnoxious. Linnea does some remarkable new things with a tube of lipstick.
