Pretty light and silly for the most part - aka perfect Jackie Chan movie watching , just make sure to ignore the tone destroying mention of smuggling drugs inside the bodies of dead children lol and we are given a ridiculous last bit of let's do some fucking stunts

Worth watching for the stunts alone, which are friggin' nuts (especially in the last 15 minutes). Jackie and Michelle are fantastic and it's a fun movie, but unfortunately there's less martial arts and more gunplay than other Chan offerings. And I think May being dumb and needing saving is getting old by this third film in the Police Story franchise. In any case I'm glad I saw the original Chinese version, from what I'm reading in other reviews.

Another decent HK action movie with lots of hand-to-hand combat, slightly original plot and awesome climax sequence. Michelle Yeoh was a perfect addition to the series and its amazing to watch both Chan and Yeoh do their own stunts. Tong's direction is a bit westernised unlike Chan's but, the final 15 minutes of the movie outmatch all the shortcomings.

It seems like this character is starting to wear thin, 'cause there's lots more gunfights and explosions. Michelle Yeoh, however, is a real find and a welcome addition, so this movie is still worth seeing

Good Movie

Some of the voices were a little distracting and I don't know if it was originally in Chinese, but the mouth movements matched up, so whatever. But that's not why I watched it. I watched it for the absolutely kickass action and it did not disappoint. If there is a Chinese version though, I'm sure that one is MUCH MUCH better.

NOTE: I am ranking the HK version, Police Story 3. Which is much, much better.

Fantastic stunt work and a great combination of martial arts with modern weapons makes Supercop a great film to watch.

Only at the very end is when it gets full-on Jackie greatness. Truly breathtaking stunts (Helicopter scenes, bike on train). Also, Maggie Cheung is a badass.

Put simply: there's just too much damn plot. The action, for its part, is some of the greatest work ever done by Chan and Golden Harvest, but it gets bogged down in endless double-crosses that I eventually didn't care enough to follow.

The story is nothing. It is fascinating to see these kinds of stunts before CGI.

I saw the original version, not the one with a US soundtrack (including DEVO's cover of "head like a hole")> THAT'S the version I want to see... Toe knee :-)

great improvement over the previous police story with tighter pacing and a tried-and-true undercover cop plot, plus Michelle yeoh kicking ass

I unfortunately watched a dubbed version because It was all that was available to me, but nonetheless I still enjoyed this immensely. Chan and Yeah have stellar chemistry and kick ass in this. Super fun and super cop! I give 8 train chase scenes out of 10.

This is a fun film with fun performances by both Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh. There are so many fun stunts and scenes in this movie. There are also some funny moments Overall I would recommend this film.

Brisker, more plot-driven and set in more locales, "Ging chaat goo si III: Chiu kup ging chaat" is, perhaps surprisingly, an improvement upon the first two films. Jackie Chan meets his match in Michelle Yeoh, who brings really good acting skills and great stunt work to the table. Next to the engaging and occasionally funny undercover theme, their chemistry is what makes this film, as it's believable and fun, doesn't give in to cliches and greatly contributes to the suspense of several sequences.

While this is one of Chan's better martial arts films, there are a few sequences where it seems there's more guns and explosions than his traditional fighting. The plot gets a little too long, trying to explain the quick changes in set pieces, and there doesn't seem to be as much underlying humor outside of the usual pratfall-type gags. Still, that helicopter ride which turns into a train chase was pretty intense, and Yeoh matches Chan stunt for stunt.

Now we're talking. POLICE STORY 3 is a polished and audacious sequel that ups the ante in so many exhilarating and satisfying ways, and finds just the right blend of action, comedy, and drama. Jackie Chan’s flirty chemistry with Michelle Yeoh (and Maggie Cheung!) is icing on the cake. (A bit unsettling to see Chan in a RAMBO-style gun battle, though.)

*I watched the dubbed version 'Police Story 3: Supercop'* Without Jackie Chan in the director's chair, this lacks the pizzazz and refinement of the two previous films. To put it bluntly, apart from some big explosions and impressive car/boat/train/helicopter chases, it's pretty crap. But the addition of Michelle Yeoh is certainly a positive - the closing credits proves she is a badass - and the poking fun at mainland China just 5 years before handover is pretty funny.

Stanley Tong doesn't capture action as deftly as Chan does, but "Police Story 3" boasts a tighter narrative, a perfect addition in the form of Michelle Yeoh, and a climax with some of the series's most thrilling stunts.

Not too enthused to be honest. It has some fun moments but there's a lot of story between the set pieces, and that story is pretty dull.

Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh kickin' ass and fightin' crime.

Some amazing fights, stunts and humor make this really fun. Obviously the story is a mess but who gives a shit?

Combines some of my favorite things: action, comedy, suspense, Maggie Cheung, and 2Pac music

Jackie Chan is the man but Michelle Yeoh is right behind him. I feel bad marking this film down given the number of times people nearly died making but life is unfair. Plot synopsis? You see that poster over there? Jackie Chan doing a flying kick. What else do you need?

The premise for the movie isn't very enticing, but the action and fighting scenes most certainly are. I continuously said "oh wow," "shit, that was awesome!" and laughed out loud during a lot of these scenes. The fight choreography and on set special effects are more impressive than what you'll see in almost all big budget Hollywood productions. As expected, Jackie Chan makes the movie super fun and easy to watch, this is definitely something you can watch over and over again whenever.

High rating solely for the crazy awesome stunts.

(Rewatch. I want to love this, but it's really the perfect final act that makes me ignore the other relatively bland fighting scenes. I wish they amped up the fish-out-of-water humor of Jackie Chan in mainland China.) Better upon rewatch. Michelle Yeoh does a great job. Jackie Chan doesn't do much of his classic comedic stunts in fighting so it's more straightforward. Decent villains. Great chase scene.

Most action movies don't have enough boat chases, this does.

I really didn't know what was going on at many different moments of the film but the action and silly bits make up for it. I knew about Jackie already but Michelle Yeoh is equally as fantastic.

I love Michelle Yeoh.

A study in how to make dangerous, exciting, and CG-free stunts look bland (I am referring to the scene of Chan dangling from a ladder on a helicopter above a city). Lacks the humour and energy Policy Story has. Disappointing.

While the story is more elaborate than in previous films in the franchise, the tone goes back to the goofier style of the first. It’s still too plot-heavy, but the set-pieces rule as much as ever, especially in the insane finale.
