(S1-3) The first season was solid, and the next two seasons were distinctly mediocre. However, I never understood Tina Fey's appeal, and now I get it. Maybe in some sort of narcissistic way, because Liz Lemon is like a mirrored image of my personality. Throw in a pinch of Phoebe from Friends, and you've got me.

Funny, clever, and meta. The guest actor arcs are some of my favorites. Jon Hamm, Matt Damon, Will Forte, and Will Arnett are particular standouts.

This is a show written by actors for actors. The era of fetishizing actors is largely over, THANK GOODNESS. As such, this show is a waste of mine and yours time, unless you still have a fantasy of becoming the next goofball on SNL or marrying Tina Fey for her money.

There were moments of absolute brilliance, but it was uneven.

Clever, funny comedy but relies way too much on offense 'humour' or punching-bag humour. Definitely would be written differently if it was re-made now, which it should be.

Tina Fey created a hilarious show with this one. While I don't find myself remembering as many scenes as other comedies made in that period like Parks and Rec and The Office, I still remembering having a lot of fun with this one.

It's the kind of show that's easy to binge watch because it's easy to digest, but it's also clever and funny with memorable characters.

30 Rock is Hollywood satire done right. Lead by the writing and acting talents of Tina Fey. The show is hilarious almost non-stop, the satire is on point, and Alec Baldwin carries the shows greatest moments with grace and perfect delivery.

Lots of awkward moments and forced cringy humor, especially in the later seasons. The amount of hype behind the show always made me feel like it was overrated. It's not bad however, 30 rock is an amusing little comedy with a few great characters and actors (Alec Baldwin is especially awesome in this) that carry the rest of the cast. Even when it gets lame, it never gets excruciating to watch, and the ending ties it all together neatly. Fun to watch once.

Season 1 - 86; season 2 - 89; season 3 - 91; season 4 - 89; season 5 - 92; season 6 - 90; season 7 - 94. By critiquing the very system of which it is a part with such a sharp wit, 30 Rock will live in TV's hall of fame. It not only stayed consistent but consistently improved throughout its run by steering into its characters' skids more (especially Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghy), and its finale is one of the best I've seen in recent history.

Witty, silly and hilarious, 30 Rock has the advantage of also being highly re-watchable (and this is personal experience talking). Sure the earlier seasons are smarter, but it's consistently funny, has a great array of guest stars, and the lovable characters and great cast make the show near impossible to dislike.

I liked it, but never lover it. It is a little too silly for my taste and it really wasn't as smart as critics made it out to be. It did however revive Alec Baldwin who is great in it.

There are some growing pains in the first season, but overall the show was still well written. By season 2 onto its finale, this show was on fire. Fey's Liz Lemon is a brilliantly, horrifically relatable main character, Baldwin is endlessly charismatic and nails every syllable, and the rest of the cast has their own unique draws that raise the hilarity of the writing to staggering heights. I love this show.

I loved this series to maybe to an irrational degree when it aired. Fey got a bit shrill and annoying in her autobiography, but her character here is about perfect, sympathetic in all the right ways (ambitious, responsible, hard-working) but also believably human (klutzy, single, self-critical). It's ridiculous that people are trying to hold Amy Schumer up as proof that "women can be funny," as if we even need proof in this day and age -- I'll take this over a fat chick being gross, thanks.

One of my absolute favourite shows, and the show that has taught me the most about joke structure and writing (and also how to subvert lessons about joke structure and writing). I re-watch it constantly and I'm still always discovering new jokes.

I'm only rating this as high as I am because of Jack - a brilliant Machiavellian wizard who is played brilliantly by Alec Baldwin. It's basically a soap opera with a bunch of really terrible and unlikable characters. It's so devoid of creativity that they actually name a character Toofer. Why? Because he's black and went to Harvard. Get it? Do you see how genius this is yet? Tina Fey should be thrown off a building for introducing the world to Kenneth and for ruining SNL

A playful and funny live-action cartoon of a sitcom. It had its problems, including Tracy and especially Jenna being one-note characters who grew stale by the end. But Jack Donaghy always delighted. The series also had two great live episodes, something I usually dislike in a sitcom. My two favorites episodes are both from season 1: Hardball and Tracy Does Conan.
