I think the funniest/saddest/scariest thing about this, is the fact that those clips with quotes from trump were real. That man is like the fucking posterchild for "couldn't make this shit up if I wanted to".

I watched this after first seeing '2021' which wasn't the intended order of course. I enjoyed seeing so many of the 'characters' return or should I say appear for the first time. Kudrow was an added delight and the humour a little darker that it was in 21 so overall this worked a lot better for me. It seemed to dwell too long and too seriously on the George Floyd event which was at odds with the rest of the fast moving satirical approach but overall this was quite good.

Suppressed and tame to the point it was just spouting the propaganda we see every day from tv news channels.

Essentially a big-budget replacement for Charlie Brooker's 2020 Wipe. Now we get Samuel L. Jackson sitting in a chair instead of Charlie Brooker sitting on a couch. I laughed a fair bit, but at the same time, I can't help but think I would have laughed harder if the writing were handled by Brooker exclusively. There are far more duds in the mix than his usual wipes. Too many cooks in the kitchen, this thing had like 19 writers

Watched it one year too late. Some jokes hit, but most don't. Hugh Grant and Kumail Nanjiani are pretty funny, though.

Worse than COVID.

somewhat of a series of sketches, rather than a movie, it holds its own as a light weight comedy, with some serious star power. there are times it's blase, but there are a few laugh out moments as well. milloti and kudrow are excellently cast.

A few funny moments here and there, but overall forgettable. I expected more from Charlie Brooker.

Hit or miss, and overplays some of its overkill on the jokes about Biden's age - but frequently funny, well-assembled and well-cast. A fitting but clearly hastily put-together tribute to a year none of us will forget.

Lacks the sharpness needed to really skewer this shitshow of a year.

Most of the jokes are too blunt or fall short. Some actors deliver - Nanjiani was my fave here - others less so *Akhkudrow* but all in all it's not a bad superficial overview of the shitshow that was last year. Light and forgettable fun.

Light entertainment for the end of the crappy year.

It's a movie equivalent of a two year old and her understanding of time and importance - sometimes unexpectedly brilliant, but mostly just toddling around and not coherent enough to be proper funny. One thing it does catch well is the American egocentrism. But while it had a chance to laugh about caricatured personal freedoms as opposed to any process of thinking, it mostly went for the American presidential election, which as fun as it was, did not define 2020 for the majority of the world.

A big-budget with big stars version of my beloved yearly wipes that Charlie Brooker used to make. Quite funny recap of the year and the writing is as always clever and also sobering.
