Starts off really well, and seems clever, and is uncomfortable (although a little mean) enough to provide an effective emotional confrontation. But after the buildup, degenerates into the usual formulaic dramedy. Still, Kutcher is something besides his usual idiot slapstick self, which is quite an accomplishment.

Taking easy, cliche racial humor does not a good movie make. And as an added shocker, Bernie Mac plays the same character he does in every movie: bull-headed, ignorant, yet financially successful black man...what a great acting stretch.

A pale shadow of the original. Shrek 2 was a better remake of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. That being said, the movie is not bad. It had some rather funny and cute moments. I'm not a fan of Ashton Kutcher, but he is good n this movie. Bernie Mac is good as well. But the chemistry is just not there between them, and the story between the daughter and the mother is not nearly as strong as the original.

A terrible, usual comedy which started very nice. All the actors were good and the talking was witty. I also paid attention the connection with the original with Houghton and Poitier, and I liked the way they updated it. It was shame it ended up so lame. Kutcher was really different than he used to.

Guess Who wasn't bad. I'm glad that I watched it once. It is not something that I would watch over and over. I might even watch it again if it is on TV and I'm too lazy to go get the remote. Bernie Mac is always pretty good but he is tamed in this all ages movie. Ashton Kutcher is sweet and funny. I can understand why women find him appealing. Zoe Saldana is equally good in this movie. Kellee Stewart is funny as well. I have liked her since seeing her in the TBS original series.

Bernie Mac should be ashamed of himself. Who the heck talked him into doing this film. Although he gets a couple small laughs overall the film is a joke. Have not yet found an Ashton Kutcher movie that I have enjoyed, and that quest continues after this film. I feel like I have been Punk'd. The one thing I learned is that Bernie can dance a mean tango.

This skips the original film's social drama in favor of a Meet the Parents & My Big Fat Greek Wedding style family comedy. It's more dated than the 1968 picture, especially with early generation cellphones and discussions on metrosexuals. Storytelling-wise it's less a movie and more a sitcom--to the point that it steals a joke from a much funnier episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with the same premise. So, even with all the talent on display (like Zoe Saldana), you can avoid this one.

On the beaten path and it just beats it a bit more with small creases here and there. It washes over you like most of Hollywood comedies but you don't cringe much during watching it. And when she is not green as in GOTG Saldana is exceptionally beautiful.

The liveliness of Bernie Mac's bug-eyed irritability just doesn't work this time. I don't think he's meant to be a leading actor. As for Ashton Kutcher, well, stuff like this is made for him to star in. He fits the bill for sub-par charmer/unwanted son-in-law perfectly. Total crap!

Kind of a semi african american version of Meet the Parents that works surprisingly well. As previously stated it could be considered a bit of a rip off but it still creates laughs.

I like Bernie Mac. I like Ashton Kutcher. I wanted to like this movie, but didn't quite manage to do so. It was an interesting take on 'reverse' racism, but I much preferred the 1967 version 'guess who's coming to dinner". The original with Sidney Poitier and Katherine Houghton as the 'in love' couple, and Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy as her parents.
