A mixed bag. A lot of the stuff that goes on in the courtroom is top-knotch stuff, and a cool-as-hell Sarah Paulson is absolutely superb as the prosecutor. Vance, Choi, Brown and Greenwood are great too. Unfortunately, Gooding Jr., who's completely miscast, turns in a weak performance, as always. Also, there are some problems with what the scriptwriters chose to focus on. But if one can to take the good with the bad, this is a sometimes gripping companion piece to 'O.J.: Made in America'.

Cuba Gooding isn't great but the rest of the cast (including Travolta surprisingly) are fantastic. I was too young to be aware of the intricacies of the case and the show goes a long way in explaining how it became a circus. Next up the OJ doc, then Keeping Up with the Kardashians, then denial of the Armenian genocide.

Pretty good - found the season with OJ very interesting since I was too young when all that went down. Quite frustrating too see how a seemingly obvious case can turn out...

A remarkable, infuriating trip into the broken US justice system. Beautiful camera sweeps, great momentum building, high intensity, good acting. I consumed the episodes within a few days.

Perhaps slightly better than I was expecting, rather concisely written and well acted (surprisingly by Schwimmer and Gooding Jr in the first 2 episodes). This was a decently informative and fairly entertaining account, consistently and squarely criticising the race grievance industry, but it can't fit in all the interesting, yet extraneous details. The ending is pretty quick and underwhelming.

Season 1: An over-the-top courtoom drama with an insane amount of watchability. With its all-star cast, great source material, and film-worthy showrunning, The People v OJ nailed it. Its tense and riveting for something we all know and it almost feels like its happening again. Wonderful series, awesome casting, can't wait to see where the anthology goes next.

Thought this was really good but I don't feel qualified to opine on something so deeply entrenched in race politics because I live in skyrim

A smart, watchable and consistently interesting take on the OJ Simpson trial with really strong performances especially from Sarah Paulson and Courtney B. Vance (I also kind of got a kick at Choi's Judge Ito; his consistent exasperation amused me). The first two episodes were great with the initial arrest, and strong scene after strong scene in the courtroom. My main complaint may be how sudden the end felt - the aftermath in the months/years to come should have been a whole episode in itself.

This was a lot better than I expected. It was fun for me to relive part of the 90's reinterpreted by Hollywood actors. I remember exactly where I was when that Bronco was gunning down the Santa Ana freeway. Particular stand out performances come from Sarah Paulson and Sterling K. Brown as the prosecution.

Hit and miss mini-series of the Simpson trial has the misfortune of having to compete with a masterful, more comprehensive documentary released the same year; what's here is good, especially once the trial starts and the titanic battle between Paulson and Vance (both sensational) begins, but too much extraneous crystal ball gazing (ie the Kardashians) and some overdone supporting performances (Travolta) threaten to drag it down. Props to Lane, hilarious as the sleazeball Bailey.

I think I'm gonna write a parody show called The People v. J.O Simpson. It'll be about a serial public masturbator nicknamed Juice. The ultimate twist ending will be the legally reasonable outcome of a mistrial. Get it...J.O. Simpson...just jerking it.

Amazingly, surprisingly effective. If one were to cast O.J. differently it would merit even higher scores. The backdoor politicking and backstabbing is very entertaining, and the courtroom stuff is well played. Sarah Paulson in particular is great.

I don't tend to enjoy traditional tv series but find I have more time for the ones that come across as 8-10 hr films and People vs OJ is a top quality example of this. I can't be certain how historically accurate it is, but as I watched a number of scenes so much of the real life events came flooding back and this nostalgia probably contributes to this score. Paulson, Brown and Vance are outstanding and easily make up for the awful performance from Cuba as OJ. Overall a highly entertaining drama

Really, really interesting. It's really more about the two legal teams than it is about OJ. Does an excellent job of both dramatizing an already unbelievable story, while also humanizing (almost) all involved. Clark, Johnnie, Kardashian, and Ito are perfect. The only real weakness is Gooding, who plays an uncharacteristically meak and defenseless OJ. Great companion piece to Made in America (which I'd recommend watching first).

Cuba Gooding made the first act difficult to muck through, but sticking around paid off. Some very intriguing moments for an event I was too young to appreciate at the time.

I must say, a lot of the episodes were a drag and it took me a while 'til I was hooked. But the OJ trial always fascinated me and the series did a good job covering the whole story I guess. I loved how they used a whole episode to feature Marcia Clark's struggles with experiencing sexism against her through media and the trial at that time. And the series once again portrayed the huge problems with the US American justice system. Overall a gripping and interesting series.

It is kind of cheesy but overacted to perfection, which result in a near perfect season 1. It is captivating, thought provoking and moving. The weakest part is the first 2-3 episodes. (season 1)

TPvOS is captivating from start to finish.I don't think I've ever seen a show that keeps you engaged for that long without dragging on for a single moment.I can't remember a dull moment on this show and that's down to the amazing ensemble of characters/actors.Every single actor is a scene-stealer and they all have different motivations and incredibly interesting arcs. The fact that this is a true story adds an extra layer of interest, importance and epicness and I couldn't get enough of it.

I know season 2 aitn strong as season 1 but thats cuz everything were more mysterious and simple. So it was cathy too .But in 2nd you start to think like "you need to pick your side" it mentaly challenges you. Yes there was some obvious overdrama in 2nd season's script but I think 2nd season liked less cuz it was harsher. Cuz of catharsis that audience start to make. Not cuz it was suddenly much worse show. Acting, roster and script was superb. Yes its not %100 accurate. But it delivered !

I avoided this for some time since I had no interest in revisiting the O.J. swamp, but it's hypnotic from the get-go. The would-be TV/soap sensationalism is transformed into exhilarating drama in every episode, because as much as the camera swirls about and lands on trembling faces in close-up, the writing is substantial. And gradually you notice that the themes of hypocrisy, sexism and racism speak directly to our present moment.

Season 1 - 70 A mostly successful take on the trial against O.J Simpson. Good performances from cast except gooding JR. Season 2 - 20 Very poor second outing, with a very misleading name. Should have been called the cunanin story instead as it has very little to do with Versace.
