If you've followed the Netflix MCU thus far, watching this is a no-brainer. Major events occur, and seeing these characters bounce off each other is amusing. However, even at only 8 episodes, it still feels bloated, and the villains are underwhelming. Daredevil's the MVP, naturally.

This was interesting. In a lot of ways, it's the Avengers of it's universe on a much smaller scale, which is actually a good thing. What carries this is the characters themselves. Marvel did a good job of setting up all them up in their own series, so them coming together is like me watching the Power Rangers across all generations teaming up for a big event. Everything else is average at best, but it's a nice niche that we got something like this before the cancellation.

The Defenders should have been the TV equivalent to The Avengers; unfortunately the mono-tonal hero components make this show both disappointing and mediocre. The plot is most closely related to the Iron First, arguably the least interesting defender (Mistake 1). For a limited 8 episodes, it takes too long to get the protagonists together (Mistake 2), though their interactions are a better part of the series. The show also lacks diversity in its action, with everyone just punching and kicking.

As well as the Netflix/Marvel team up started, this is a terrible, poorly written mess.

It should've been the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. As it is 'The Defenders' ends up just about managing to collect the up shattered remenants of the Netflix MCU after the disaster that was 'Iron Fist'. There are some minor improvements to Danny Bland's character & the series best moments still all sit with Jessica Jones and Daredevil. Overall it's cheesy and fun, but is engulfed in plot holes and feels a fair distance from the high standards set by 'Daredevil' a few years ago

Given the overwhelming number of requirements (i.e. restrictions) a project like this must adhere to (backstory on each character must be provided for viewers who didn't see that character's series; truly dramatic character arcs are likely to be saved for their own series; multiple serious actors - even in the supporting cast - need to be given their moments to shine; 4 heroes requires lots of unimpressive goons to fight; etc), it's a small miracle this turned out as good as it did.

Bad guy explains to Iron Fist they need his power for their plan. They fight. Iron Fist says, "I know what you want and I won't give it to you." Iron Fist uses his power, fucks everything up. Why? Daredevil is still the best. Jones and Cage are still good and stylish and fun and interesting. Iron Fist is still garbage. Complete, stupid, nonsense. Everything is passable except the Iron Fist. They even took the best character from his show and made her boring. Kung Fu is fun, Iron Fist is shit.

Doesn't come close to Daredevil S1, Jessica Jones S1, or even Daredevil S2 or Luke Cage S1. After so many fantastic backstories of previous opponents, the fingers of the hand turn out to be annoying shallow little twats, only marginally more bearable than Iron Fist. I found myself only enjoying the Daredevil-only parts and some of Jones' input. Even Elektra was a disappointment here. Best (and only good) new character was Murakami:great natural acting, understandable actions and considerations.

It's no Daredevil or even Jessica Jones, but it's better than Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Believable enough chemistry helps it along some of the sillier writing moments. The biggest knock against it is trying to convince us Elektra is a match for the entire team.

Its very fun seeing these four characters together, their interactions are great and it's cool to see them fight together in some very well choreographed fight scenes but the big reveal at the end is kind of anti-climactic and also the villains are weak even though the actors are doing a good job.

The Defenders is the closest thing you'll get to a superhero crossover without leaving Netflix’s universe. And while it doesn’t go all-in on everything, it’s definitely engaging and entertaining. Bringing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist together in one story is a treat for fans, and the best part is it doesn’t drag on — eight well-paced episodes with no filler. That said, there are moments where the group dynamics don’t fully click. Sometimes it feels like Luke Cage could han

They managed to make a team-up show where the leads have negative chemistry together, and the characters have zero synergy between their personalities or powers. And they gave them a terrible story to work with. Too much Iron Fist. Not good.

Only worth watching so you are up to date with the shows you actually care about, and Sigourney Weaver for some reason. Did we need every character to get their own mood lighting?

Similar like the Bad Batch. It has flaws the Villians are a lame, its a bit rushed but also has great Moments. Like the interactions with each other, great Action Sequences and a great visuall Style. Elektra is a Winter Soldier. And great Finale... Sure it's not the Masterpiece Daredevil but more than enjoyable

Despite the slow if necessary start, "The Defenders" offers the character clashes and great team-ups you'd expect from these four stumbling upon each other. Marvel is trying to pull off a small-scale Avengers and there's no denying they've played it right by doing the individual shows first and building up to this. It packs more punch because of that. Plus, it's good to see the various supporting characters and find out more about the Hand. Alas, the more you find out the more banal it gets.

It needed more of a unifying vision, as it always felt like we were getting scenes of different shows mixed together rather than a singular show crossing over characters from other shows, which was an odd feeling. It also took too long for everybody to come together, but when they did, it was pretty entertaining.

A mercifully short eight episode mini-series that has the same issues present in The Avengers (2012). The characters are dumbed down for laughs, and the story is painfully dull and shallow. There's really no reason to sit through this.

W3E1P1S1V1M1A1R1. A step closer to Daredevil Season 1 but still miles away, mainly by continuing to focus inexplicably on Iron Fist and Elektra (the two worst characters in the MCU). I don't remember how it ended, so that tells you all you need to know about the memorability of the plot.

Parte abbastanza bene: è divertente vedere le interazioni fra i protagonisti e c'è un colpo di scena favoloso. Peccato che poi chiuda in anticlimax, con delle puntate finali scontate e poco appassionanti

The more I reflect on this the more I have to conclude it a disappointment after three years and 65 TV episodes spent building up to it. This just isn't as thrilling, isn't as epic, isn't as climactic as what any of us wanted before its debut. Even the great Sigourney Weaver's villain and the fight scenes - so great in Daredevil - ultimately underwhelm. The high points of this series basically begin and end with it being cool seeing all these heroes and their supporting casts come together.

The good stuff from the Netflix MCU shows (Daredevil and Luke Cage) are still good. But, the other two characters aren't very good (especially Iron Fist), and the villains are terrible. Worth watching for the good bits, but overall the show is a very mixed bag.

When the Netflix series were announced I was most excited about the Iron Fist. He's protested so badly so far that I just want the Iron Fist power handed over to Daredevil.

The first half of the series is slow and too much of small details. The second half is more interesting. The fight scenes... Well they are just empty choreography without any emotion. It's okay... I played guitar during watching this 'cause the show just couldn't take all of my attention.

Cheesy, cheap, and cheery. There's fun to be had, and plenty of cringe. Sigourney Weaver's character looks like poor people's idea of a rich woman. Somehow it manages to drag even with its short episode count.
