It was just okay. Felt like what could have been a fun movie, instead streeetched into 6 episodes. Could have been a lot more fun.

Works well enough as a kind of vehicle to watch Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke cut loose a bit - whole backstory / mythology stuff with the gods and their avatars was ok. When it tries to do the “superhero action” it just kinda feels like a low budget movie from 2005.

Bob Iger said that they will do less of these series; I think that that is the right call. They did all these half-cooked, unimpactful things with big names without achieving much. Except for WandaVision a bit and Loki, none really worked. The best thing in this series is the end credits; that shouldn't be the case. The last episode was kinda interesting but the rest is very forgettable. They got the costumes right also; but these ar enot enough to keep you interested for 6 hours.

I found Moon Knight pretty frustrating. Maybe I just couldn't get interested enough to care, but I found the Egyptian mythology tough to track. Oscar Isaac makes a good lead and has the range to portray DID well, and the cast around him is good enough to support him as they should. But I'm getting fatigued with all these Marvel shows: they don't have the same quality as the first couple did and feel like expansions of the universe and tone that might not go anywhere.

I enjoyed the shift of tone from the usual Marvel fare: either a super confident pro or a hero who just got their powers for the first time. And Isaac gets a lot of time to shine flipping back and forth between personalities. But I found Hawke boring and the whole finale (minus the post-credits scene) a dull way to end. Overall it was a solid, medium entry.

Did you know figs pollinate through wasps? A wasp burrows inside a little hole in the bottom of the fig to lay its eggs and then dies. The eggs hatch and the baby wasps are covered in pollen as they dig out of the fig. Then they go have dirty wasp sex and burrow into more figs to lay eggs. If you've eaten a Fig Newton, you've almost certainly eaten a fucking wasp. You are so gross cause you ate a wasp. Oh, and like, this show exists. I like to call the little fig burrow hole a fussy (fig pussy).

Suffers from the same problem as most Disney+ exclusives: that they would have been much better as a two hour movies than the stretched out 6+ Series format they constantly opt for. That being said, I’m a sucker for Egyptian mythology, tomb raiding and Oscar Isaac in general. The ending was also surprisingly ambiguous, which I quite liked.

This inspired me to dust off my Book of the Dead and recall a passage: “Hail, Gerusher, son of Dasheytd, who is united with Oser! Enter into the underworld as a greatly purified man. The two principles of double truth have purified you in the great hall of justice. Your purification took place in the earthly domain … You see light, day and night.” — In the show: “Are you an Egyptian superhero?” “Yes.” The DID isn’t a gimmick, it’s as close to ancient moral storytelling as this platform allows.

Decent. A very underground hero even by comic book fans standards. Due to Marvel's PG-13 requirement, it can't go truly dark as I feel this source material demands. As a result, the show often comes into conflict with itself.

Oscar Isaac did a phenomenal job with this role. I enjoyed this series a lot and put it on for background noise often. I loved moon knight in the comics and I am excited to see what else they do with his character.

Moon Knight was not a hero that I knew a lot about, but this show just didn't really do much for me. I thought the general plot was okay, but there were some rather stupid moments as well. The other Egyptian gods were pretty stupid and the ending was kind of anti-climatic. I'm interested to see where they go with Moon Knight, but this was only okay.

Lunacy. Ugh, it was truly terrible, nothing worked for me, not even Oscar Isaac with an English accent. 95% of the plot was stalling. Really, literally nothing happened in these six hours. More stuff happens in half an hour of The Mummy. And May Calamawy is super cute, almost as cute as Rachel Weisz.

I really enjoyed this show, and hope to see more. I do find it a little tiring that Marvel has been dragging out origin stories over entire seasons rather than doing an origin at the start and giving us full on superhero stories for the whole season, but I think this story is still done really well regardless, with great visuals and sound especially, and Oscar Isaac is fantastic in the role. Really hope we see more!

I love Oscar Isaac. His presence alone is enough to make this entire series worth watching. And Moon Knight himself is just great character design. Konshu was super creepy, and the episode that took place in the pyramid with the mummies gave me chills. However, the villain was meh, the other gods were meh, the plot was meh. They had this great conceptual character and I am just disappointed that they didn't take it in a... less Marvel direction.

Disappointingly bland for a Marvel TV show. Some fun moments, which don't help the fact that it's mostly boring and really badly written and paced.

Written as one off, Moon Knight is one of Marvel TV's easiest shows to watch. It's self contained, you don't need to watch anything before to understand the characters or plot and is a fun and interesting watch with decent action. It's nothing that will blow your socks off but is a fun Marvel watch with no real impact on the larger Marvel world.

Initially intriguing, but I was losing interest throughout. I like that it is very different from the rest of MCU, but it wasn’t good. I agree with everyone else that episode 5 and Isaac’s performance were amazing. The rest is below average.

I’ve been waiting to see a Moon Knight adaptation for awhile now, so my expectations were probably higher than the should’ve been. Is tonality less consistent than expected, with out of place humor one moment, and surprisingly dark and tragic moments the next. The mystery aspects are good, setting is interesting, action (while sparse) is solid, and Oscar Isaac is great. Not my favorite Disney+ show, but I’m hopeful that MK’s future appearances will be put to good use.

Episode 5 was a phenomenal parley into the broken psyche of dual personalities that retroactively makes this dynamic throughout the series fascinating. On the other hand, the show is hampered by its monotonous attempts at being a superhero action flick that leads to a wet fart of a finale. A lot of what the show pulls from the Lemire run in the comics is superfluous and its villain was lame garbage. This could have been a great series with better direction, but unfortunately, Disney sucks.

First episode was compelling but it became less and less interesting with each episode (excepting the fifth one). And, as usual, Marvel ends the story with a dull CGI mess. Oscar Isaac performance saves it.

I actually have read MK comics, and think he's an awesome character, but his story was told rather poorly on screen. I'm so disappointed. My biggest problem is that they gimp the character before he's really even established, and there's very little Moon Knight in the Moon Knight show. His backstory is great but they fumbled their way through that too. Action was okay but pretty inconsistent. I give it a 70 because it's still entertaining, and I always like superhero shows/movies.

I will update later as this is only about the first episode. This was a mess to watch. While I think someone that had a split personality disorder probably does act like this, that does not make it easy to watch. And the inner voice was just weird. However, after 40 minutes of insanity, it ended the episode on a more intriguing note that promises a better series than the first episode gave us.

You shouldn't compare Moon Knight to Daredevil because first of all it would be an irrelevant comparison. Honestly, I watch Moon Knight for Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke. I've never really liked the MCU universe, maybe it's just not to my taste. However, it is possible to say that Moon Knight is a show that can be watched easily not only for MCU fans, but also for the whole audience. Isaac's performance was awesome btw. My rating may up or down later.
