Impossibly adorable. Also, the Pixar animators are literally animating grains of sand. The ceiling for photorealism in animation is exceeding that of actual life at this point.

Pixar shorts once again set a technical standard for computer animation that people will strive to equal for years. That aside, this is a fantastic short - one of Pixar's best. Piper is alone worth the price of admission to Finding Dory.

The insufferable, self-enamored tone of a tablet commercial. Syrupy, overblown music (Adrian Belew, capable of subtler) tries to match the opulent visuals but instead effectively pounds the little bird into the sand.
