Every single Pauly Shore film is a soul searching experience that should not be missed

Probably the best of the Pauly Shore movies, which is like saying AIDS is the best of the diseases that make you puke blood.

The Pauly Shore pentalogy is either something you're with, or you're a cruster. This one is exceptional because of Carla Gugino, buddy.

God help me if I don’t have a nostalgic soft spot for Shore’s “Weasel” persona: not really any better or worse than any other teen-oriented, comedian vehicle of the 90s (perhaps a back-handed compliment?), but some nice comic bits and performances do land (especially Renna’s comically randy pre-teen), and with no competition for the limelight, Shore seems relaxed and amiable here, even if your fondness for this film will be in direct proportion to your fondness for his mannered persona.

Rob Schneider must have the same agent as Pauly Shore because they both manage to get roles after every single piece of garbage they do. They're like cockroaches, you'll never eradicate them.

Quite possibly the best Pauly Shore movie you will find. However, it is also a Pauly Shore movie.

Pauly Shore in a bad, semi-funny flick.

If bad acting was illegal, this guy should, nay WOULD get the electric chair. Every piece of celluloid bearing this being's countenance should spontaneously combust for all of humanity's sake.

One of the best films Pauly Shore has ever been in but that's not saying it's good. The only really positive aspect of this film is Carla Gugino. She's terrible cute and thankfully goes on to get a much better career.

I have to admit that I usually end up watching it when I happen upon it on TV. I would never watch it under any other circumstance, but I have to give it credit for having some kind of weird 90s nostalgic guilty pleasure hold over me. Despite the fact that some people from the South might be offended by it, it does happen to be Pauly Shore's best.

This movie made me wish I was locked inside a sensory deprivation tank...

It has been 4 years since I saw this and entered my score of 2 into the criticker engine...however, I remember absolutely nothing about the trauma it caused. I guess time does truly heal all wounds.

I don't even know where to start. Don't know why but I love this movie.

The Weasel returns, but alas not as good as 'Encino Man'. However, still some laughs to be had (unless, of course, you're one of the many Pauly Shore haters), and the Flea cameo is worth watching out for.

Is it hard for anyone else to believe that Pauly Shore was actually cool for awhile? He has less talent than anyone who's ever been featured in a film outside of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

As far as Pauly Shore movies go it's good, which in real terms means it's merely mediocre and not totally offensive.

Not the pure genius that is Encino Man, but a wonderful Pauly Shore movie, nonetheless. And by this I mean, its a bad film. It's not film other than in a memey way, but hey it can make you laugh if you turn literally every part of your brain off and enjoy it with friends. Don't take Pauly Shore movies too seriously and you'll be fine.

One of the more "enjoyable" Shore films. That being said, it is still terrible and Shore is as unbearable as always.

Shit in Law

Son In Law is Shore's best film where he occupies the lead role, and while that isn't saying much, he does produce a few laughs in this fish out of water comedy about an obnoxious city slicker who winds up in middle America, which he embraces with extreme gusto, much to the chagrin of the locals. He is supported by a solid cast, especially Gugino and Lane, but there isn't much anyone could do with this predictable culture clash scenario that plays out in a rather benign fashion.

My first Pauly Shore experience and people are saying this is the pick of the bunch. I have a feeling he is to the 90's what Rob Schneider was to the 00's. More investigation required.

A couple of scenes made me laugh. Nothing offensively bad, but nothing to recommend.

Despite how cute the main actress is, this just ain't a good movie. Making fun of my home state aside.

I fucking loved this movie as a teenager. It's now silly 90s nostalgia for me but it is a fun movie. If you have to watch a Pauly Shore film I deffo recommend this one.

Pauly Shore movies are the kind of cultural disasters that, fifteen years later, seem like a collective LSD flashback. Let's just forget this one ever happened.

Man, when Crawl etches his name into the cornfield, I die. And the roofie scene with the fat fuck who didnt readjust Tiffany Amber's carseat? Yes, Pauly Shore, yes.

I'd put it somewhere between Dickie Roberts and Kingpin. It's corny, campy, and over the top, but for mindless entertainment when you don't have anything else to watch it's better than TV.

The best of the Pauly Shore movies that I've seen - damning with faint praise, indeed. It's pretty much by the numbers, "fish out of water" comedy at its most bland and formulaic. The Shoreisms are (comparatively) pretty restrained.

Pauly Shore is the only likable character and he helps instead of hinders. Ouch.

I expected it to be stupid, and it was, but unfortunately I do get a bit of a kick out of crappy 90's movies like this.

Seen: 4-5. This was always the number one Pauly Shore movie to me, and yet I still can't recommend it.

I'm sure Pauly fans will like it anyway, but I do not, most of the movie is not funny.
