Pretty inconsistent. Sometimes feeling high budget, while other times it strays into fan film both in plot and in the construction of characters/sets. Pacing is a huge problem with this creative team, as the show has the same dull script writing from the Mandalorian. And even the creators must have gotten tired of their little Boba story since two episodes may as well be a different show. No build up to the finale. None of the characters I liked should have even been in the show. Boba Flop

Favreau & Filoni are the only people, so far, who've demonstrated they can give fans what they want but this is very disappointing. I love the Rancor idea, the Tusken Raider world, the intro of Cad Bane, & actual badass Fennec Shand needs to get her own series over Andor Nobody Gives a Fk About, but the attempt to make Boba more acceptable to kids is a huge mistake. Is this guy a mob boss or WTF? Why doesn't this help-the-oppressed Robin Hood just go work with the Rebellion? Shand should off him

Disney is falling into a dangerous (sarlacc) pit, here, and with Marvel (especially FatWS): creating shows that have no identity of their own except as connective tissue to more tentpole brands and films. This creative team should know better. The tone and pacing is wildly inconsistent, and I counted a full hour and six minutes through two episodes where Boba is not found in his own show. We sit through 6 hours of Dances with Wolves before we see Boba ride a Rancor? Son of a nerf herder.

The Book of Boba Fett made me reconsider my criticisms towards The Mandalorian. The Tusken tribe subplot is the best part. What remains is a mess of ideas with mixed execution that is somehow lesser than the sum of its parts. Filoni still hasn't transitioned from animation. Favreau & Rodriguez's direction is middling at best. The Mods were painful to behold. Krrsantan & Cad Bane were okay. There's something off about the Twi'leks. Boba makes a cameo in his own show (& skips an episode entirely).

Not even near as great as The Mandalorian. 2 good Episodes. Flawed Filmmaking and Writing, weird Finale. Great Cameos and Moments. Definitely Disappointing

The Book of Boba Fett is another tepid entry into Star Wars. I just can't care any more. Boba Fett is now a nice guy who is old, fat, and, ultimately, uninteresting. We can't get away from freakin' Tattooine for some reason. Even when Disney decides to make something marginally new (The Mandalorian) they must immediately retreat back to exactly that because God forbid Star Wars ever get interesting again. I hope all the neckbeards lap this up because I just can't stand it any more.

Awfully written, bad cgi. Imagine a beginner director who just read a book for the first time and thats what this is. Episode 3 took the piss with some godamn power rangers- honestly i think I forgot what i was watching. And then the stupid woke writing about how sorry he was for saying” keep your eye on it” cos the guy had a metal eye!. And then also how the crazy tuskans are natives and how its there land? It is nothing compared to mandolorian and this insult of a series should be removed

This started out so well with a calculating, gangster show starring Boba Fett. Then it suddenly became another Mandalorian vehicle. I'm fine with both but not together as the ending was suddenly so kid-friendly when the beginning seemed so adult.

The wife and I watched the first three episodes like half a year ago and have been periodically muttering “uhhh I guess maybe we should watch the next Boba Fett” every few weeks since without ever actually doing so, so I guess it’s fair to say we weren’t massively gripped by it.

There isn't much coherence in this season's story. The individual episodes are fine, but there is barely any overall arc. Some storylines started at the beginning of the season get dropped by the middle. Other plots only start in the last few episodes and almost no plot gets a satisfactory conclusion. The show still has its strong points and it manages to stay Star Wars, but there are just too many conflitcting ideas here. I can only recommend it if you've seen the Mandalorian before.

The main characters do a stand-up job continuing the Mandalorian saga. However, and it's a big however...the self-consciously child-friendly moments (Sophie Thatcher and the Mickey Mouse Club Bike Gang) are terrible! (E3) and with it, Disney destroys the Star Wars aesthetic...(those pristine flying mopeds) Bah!

The script seems like a draft. Characters make dumb, fast decisions to advance the plot. Boba is an obnoxious warrior-monk stereotype. And then it becomes Mandalorian season 2.5, which embarrassingly is the best content.

Look, I'm a huge Star Wars geek, but this is just terrible. Morrison is fine as a barely on-screen Jango Fett, but he can't carry an entire series by himself. And he was 60. Boba Fett should be in his early 40's. It just screws everything up. Not to mention that the story is terrible and unnecessary, and the entire series seems like a bad arc of the Mandalorian.

It's really two entirely different shows. The parts that are just Boba Fett are not good. It's not interesting, the dialogue is bad, and it relies on nostalgia that doesn't hit for me. The parts that cross more into The Mandalorian are much better, but it's not much of the season.

For another small scale SW entry, this hits. It finds it's groove aside from the mandalorian with the underworld/goodfellas angle, a good incorporation of bizarre animalia at appropriate power scaling too. A more brutal side which will hopefully bring about actually dark SW content.

Breezy, mostly inconsequential, I enjoyed it for what it was, a mood piece set in a familiar world. The characters and pacing are good, and I rather like not having to think too hard while watching it. There wasn't much to disturb you either. Just slow-burning space cowboy fun and adventure.

This show effectively accomplishes nothing. There's practically no story here. It's a shame because Temuera and Ming-Na are great and could have led a great show, but the writers had no idea what they were doing. It becomes blatantly obvious when late in the season it basically becomes The Mandalorian Season 2.5 and actually gets interesting again for a bit. You have these awesome characters and you wasted them.

I was so disappointed by this. I feel like Robert Rodriguez had his hands tied behind his back and was required to shove in two whole Mandalorian episodes into a 7 episode series. If your main character is only in 71% of the episodes, I think there's an issue.

I had a hard time finishing this one. Luckily my road through this dull series was filled with a lot of quality naps. The obvious high point was the parts that ignored Boba (the least interesting character in Star Wars) and focused on a stronger character.

It could have been fleshed out a little more. The Mandalorian did set a really high standard though so I see how this could fall short.

I think we’re learning that Star Wars belongs on the big screen, because unless you’re willing to pour hundreds of millions of dollars into the production, these shows will never hold up. There are some interesting ideas here. Morrison is fun to watch. But then then takes a hard turn and shamelessly becomes Mandalorian season 2.5. It’s like the creative team can’t stay interested in their own work. I’ll feel ambivalent about Star Wars until it returns to theatres.

The Book of Boba Fett isn’t perfect by any means, I think there is a real issue here with overall focus as well as pacing, because the first couple episodes are stellar. However, it feels like it had an identity crisis halfway through writing and all this fan service kinda leads itself off the path of telling us a Boba Fett story. I like the additions of some characters (especially the last 2 episodes) but man this feels so inconsistent in a surprising way given it’s solid start.

I eat this shit up. I think they just took the Mandalorian production setup and churned this out with it, but if you love this universe you love this universe. It's got a better story arc over the whole series than Mandalorian, but suffers from same issues with pacing, but the last ep is great.

It never quite reaches the level you want it to and has some very glaring pacing issues. Temeura Morrison is very good in this role but it takes so long to get going that interest in the outcome is lost among very little space drama.

Lazy, fake, and uninspired. Most of this show is a slog to watch and there is no consequence to anything that happens throughout the story. Just read the synopsis and move on.

Some very fine moments and some very shitty moments too. It held my attention, but the setup had much more to give that the writers were able to deliver. Every time Star Wars panders to the fanboys it takes a step back.

They just couldn't capture the magic they managed in The Mandalorian (it turned to Boba Fett feat. Mando quite fast anyway). Even Grogu couldn't really save it, it falters also a bit on the production side. But Mando/Grogu dynamic is still on and visually it is still appealing (Goransson did okay with the music, but again not as good as the Mandalorian), I will continue to watch what they are building with this series, but I sincerely hope that the next one has the punch of The Mandalorian.

It did start pretty slow, but I enjoyed the backstory. And then, a bunch of fan service moments. Cad Bane is one of my favorite characters, so I loved the last few episodes. It's still nowhere near as good as The Mandalorian, but it doesn't have to be. We still got a great score, cool character development and new characters.
