This movie could use an R-rated sex comedy sequel about 25-year old Preston being given a second $1,000,000 check

OMG, I remember this movie. Yeah, it's about this kid who wants to get laid, so he writes this fake check using his "Macintosh" and the whole movie is basically an ad for Apple. Then he buys a kilo of blow and goes partying with some whores. Actually, that's what you wish the kid would do. This film is a piece of ****.

I really hate video covers where the star is looking at you from behind pulled-down sunglasses.

Banks always keep one million in thier vaults, at all times. Oh and also being rich ruins your life...

Very Disney, with the same feel of Macaully Caulkin films (Home Alone, Richie Rich).

I wish I was the kid in this movie. As a kid this was a blast, now it's a piece of shit.

While great when I was, oh, 8 years old, now seems hackneyed and cliched beyond all good sense; as someone has already said, the kid is looking at you from behind pulled-down sunglasses, AND his hat is backwards. What a rebel.

Riding on the coat-tails of then-cute kid, Macaulay Culkin, this movie, as far as I remember, was cute enough, but nothing special.

The 90's: the age of wish fulfillment in kids movies... and shade tipping. Holds up better than a lot of its contemporaries, but probably only as a time capsule.

Can't believe Blake Snyder wrote this and people still take him seriously.

Pretty bad, but only marginally below average for a kids' movie. Like Home Alone, but worse and with far more cliches intact.

When I was younger I thought this was such a cool movie, I also thought it was completely plausible, and I knew it would one day happen to me (but with less Sinbad). FYI I never got the $$$$$$ I deserved :( Fun Fact: When it was released in the uk it was called "Blank Cheque"

I saw this when I was 10 and what I remember most is the hatred-inducing envy I felt for the main character.

Oh, man is this a stupid movie. It really didn't stand the test of time in my eyes. Watching while not a very young child was one of the most painful things I've ever done. Crap!

Loved it when I was younger

This is one of the funniest movies Disney released in the 90's with no real big names, or any of their characters from their hit team of characters who appeared in their underdog sports film, but rather a suprirse character plays Preston.

Typical kiddie movie from the mid-nineties - acting grown up, silly situations, heart-warming lesson. Not bad, not good, just is.

Wacky "kid smarter than all adults" movie. Ugh.

A cheap imitation of better films. And the kid is an idiot. Not to mention he uses a Mac. Fuck this movie.

Two scratchy-voiced men chase after a boy with their skrilla scratch. There is also a pedophilic woman.

As I kid I remember liking the idea of this movie and then I developed a sense of reality, plausibility, and common sense. Some kids might enjoy it, but there are many actually good movies they'll probably enjoy as well. Keep your brood away from this garbage and have them watch Home Alone, The Sandlot, or a Pixar movie instead.

This movie was my childhood fantasy.

Fun when I was a kid to think about what I'd do with all that money.

I remember seeing this when I was the same age as the protagonist. Even back then I just rolled my eyes at it. It has a character named Juice though... which is.... funny? I dunno, It really doesn't work whatever it's supposed to be.

Ignore everything else: A 20 some-odd woman goes on a date with and kisses a 12-year-old boy. If you fail to see anything wrong with that try swapping their genders. A 20 some-odd man goes on a date with and kisses a 12-year-old girl. Are you still okay with that scenario? It is far beyond uncomfortable to watch a movie try to create sexual tension between a child and an adult.

I burned my copy of Save the Cat after watching this movie. Thank you Blake Snyder. Thank you so much for this film and "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot."

Enjoyed this as a kid. It was fun watching another kid get to do anything he wanted... though he almost got killed too. Oh well.

I wish they could just make a KID GOES NUTS WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION movie that didn't have a dumb moral at the end. ALL I WANT IS FUN AND MAYHEM, IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK??

bad movie

This was so cool to watch when you were his age.

A biopic of my life, only I'm a girl and Tone-Loc is, in reality, my biological father.

I watched this several times when I was like 10 years old and nostalgia has be remembering it fondly. It's actually a really clever premise, but it wasn't executed very well. I am purposefully not re-watching it as an adult because I'm sure that will ruin my good memories.

Terrible, don't see this crap.

A kid vs. adults comedy a la Home Alone, complete with a preposterous plot, shoddy acting, and loud 80s music, but it's really not a terrible watch if you can see its cheesyness as charming instead of aggravating. There are a few truly funny moments ("Damian and Ralph sleep butt to face, butt to face..."), and the hilariously hard-luck and lonely Preston is a sympathetic character made even more so by Bonsall's mediocre performance. A fun enough family flick.
