It was a quick, fun watch, exactly what it sounds like, except it has a plot and doesn't rely on cameos, so it's really like a 45 min - 1 hr standalone comedy mostly starring Drax and Mantis. It's quirky Gunn, and I regret nothing.

Wow. There's so much to find here, shoddy wannabe retro animation, pratt's ridiculous hairpiece, the zero fun and lukewarm writing, pom and dave obviously were the cheapest on set, shameless pandering to traditional values by a company that's been shitting on them for some time now, kevin bacon...how do you invert "an embarassment of riches"? Riches of embarassment? Well, that, anyway.

Pretty 'murican way to lukewarmly celebrate Christmas with some bad and generic songs.

There're a couple of moments in here that I really like, but they're brief: the celebrity Xmas present idea & Heavy Metal homage animation are inspired & fun & Rocket's present. It also looks great - especially Mantis. Having said all that, this maintains the dynamic I have always had with the Guardians movies: they're rarely funny to me. They usually deliver one LOL moment and that's it. They're not painful, but there's alot of comedy thrown at the wall w/ just a bit sticking. Fans will love it

Charming enough, and with GotG being the Star Wars of the MCU, a fun nod to the infamous OG Holiday Special, but... well, comes across more like a weekend project between shoots than a proper (minor) chapter in the series.

Even at 45 minutes this manages to feel 20 minutes too long - and like others here said, there is an over reliance on Drax; it’s like a cake that’s 90% frosting.

Harmless short wholesome fun. I think it was a mistake to lean on Drax so heavily, he is funnier in short bursts. Bacon was good in his role. Would have liked to see some of the rest of the cast a bit more.

Feels like there went as much thoughts into this as two friends making an on the fly amateur YouTube/TikTok movie. Only this still has 5 minutes worth of sfx, vfx & cgi credits so it does looks way better.I understand that this is meant as light simple holiday fun, but from a studio with such resources and the talent behind it I except better and funnier. 5 minutes of it is Bacon performing a song, which might be why he appeared at all.

No Gamora means -20 points. Mostly vapid with some atypical Christmas songs. The script isn't that good or even funny. Just feels like a cheap imitation in many respects.

These new special presentations from marvel are a cool way to take risks and just have fun. This does lean more into that fun, but with a pretty weak showing from the cast and a boring script.

Nahhh... If anyone could pull off a watchable Christmas Special, I would have put my money on GOTG, but it didn't work. Much of the charm of GOTG is the music and it got ruined by Christmas songs; it is watchable but it is all there is to it. Also they used Rocket for 40 seconds, that is unacceptable for me

Pretty decent, though it is basically the Drax and Mantis show, rather than a full-on Guardians special. I honestly would have preferred if they tried to make something like the Star Wars Holiday Special, just a completely incomprehensible slapped-together production detached from human logic.

Galaksinin Koruyucuları Noel'i kutluyor. Kevin Bacon'u da kaçırıp, Noel'i kutluyorlar. Star-Lord, Yondu ile son yılbaşı kötü geçirdiği için, tüm ailesi güzel 1 noel gecesi yaşamak isterler. Dünya'ya gelip Kevin Bacon'u alıyor. Kısa 1 noel filmi. Arkadaş arasında eğlence. Bol ışıklı. Filmin sonunda, ben kardeşim. Elektrik faturası çok gelecek.

I was upset I wasn't able to watch this prior to GotG Vol. 3 since there are few plot points that are brought up in Vol. 3. But my concern was unwarranted. This is not a required watch. Which sadly also projects the fact that this is somewhat irrelevant and forgettable. Few good chuckles and I appreciate Bacon being a good sport and getting on board.

About as stock and archetypical as you can get with a Christmas special boasting the usual saccharine and sappy morals that are hard to take seriously. It's primarily relying on the humor of its brand but I think this goes to show that GotG's humor, on its own, was never the thing that made people latch onto the group. Although I didn't take too much issue with its humor as it warranted a few chuckles and the film is brief enough that it doesn't get irritating.

It's fine. Drax and Mantis's fun time on Earth was worth a decent short by itself, it's all the other stuff that doesn't really hang together. What's up with Chris Pratt here, he's in more of an Andy Dwyer shape, but without the joie de vivre. That EE money bought Kevin Bacon a nice house.

A decent if innocuous addition to the franchise that does more for the Old 97's than it does for the Guardians. Groot's gotten hench; Mantis has developed a backbone; Pratt seems off. Silly, amusing, Christmassy...in November!

It's a self-contained story that probably won't have much of an effect on the Marvel universe. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that it's fun.The cast still has great chemistry with each other, and there are lots of funny moments, with also a few heartfelt moments of Christmas spirit. But anyway, I don't think it's quite as good as the movies, but it definitely works in its own right. It's among the better things to come out of the mostly underwhelming Phase Four.

The songs are even better than the movie. You will want the soundtrack. The movie is silly and fun. I enjoyed myself and can see myself watching it every few years. This is the type of lighthearted stories you see in Marvel comics holiday issues and we get it in live action with some animation!

So it's always great seeing the Guardians because they're still the funniest thing in the MCU. And I did enjoy it for the 40 mins, but we have to call a spade a spade... it's not the finest showing of the group. Does anybody else think that Drax is not nearly as funny as Gunn seems to think? It leaned way too much on him. It's at its best when it leans on Rocket, Peter, Groot and even Cosmo. Bacon was fun too. But Rocket getting Bucky's arm was great and it was heartwarming as a whole.

This is for 10 year olds. And I'm saying it in a good way. I am pretty certain that kids will have fun with it. As for me, there were moments when I was genuinely laughing and moments when I was laughing because I wanted to knock down the wall with my head. Cozy, holiday stuff overall. But mainly for kids.
