Not funny at all. Pretty annoying actually. I especially like how everyone thinks it's some fabulous romantic ending, when really they have no chemistry at all, and the moral can be summed up as "well, you've ruined each others' lives. stay together so you don't fuck it up for anybody else". So wholesome. Best thesis since Shrek's "ugly people should only be allowed to date other ugly people". I think maybe it relies on the audience being retarded monkeys who find Katherine Heigl attractive.

I didn't get the fuss about this movie. Literally nothing in it was remotely amusing. I mean I could tell when they thought they'd delivered a supposedly great joke or scenario, but to me it just seemed like a bunch of people being gigantic dicks and saying really unfunny stuff.

Barely cracked a smile. Lots of plot holes and inconsistencies. Characters were all very unlikable. I mean, it's just a romantic comedy with dick jokes, misogyny, and drugs. Color me unimpressed. P.S. Roe v. Wade hit the books in 1973. Look at that fat sack of unemployable shit and then look at yourself. You know what to do.

Juvenile comedy posing as a deep and insightful meditation on... something? has a few funny lines ("You're lucky I don't have any Jewish friends") and a nice supporting bit for Rudd, (who comes closest to creating a real and genuine characterization), but the rest of the cast are forced to suffer through Apatow's artificially hip and self-conscious screenplay, which also gives Heigl and Rogen two pretty repulsive characters who are hard to identify with. Also fun to see Ramis, albeit briefly.

Knocked Up proved to be absolutely hilarious and absolutely full of heart. The acting is spot-on genuine, and the story seems so true with a perfect balance of humor and emotion. I don't see how it couldn't appeal to everyone. It is among the greatest comedies of the new millennium. Awesome!

Watching this at 20, and then again at 31, it feels like two different films. Rogen is not just a schluby loser, but he's the schlubbiest loser. And you know what? I agree with Heigl. She is such a killjoy in this film, and there's never a moment of levity. Pair this with Mann's character, another killjoy, who is only out to make sure her husband doesn't have the fun he wants to have. This film is specifically about a man growing up enough to take care of a child. The woman? Not so much.

I was a tad put off by just how crass the movie got at times. It just seemed a tad too much over-the-top going more for shock value than hilarity. With that said the majority of the film is downright hilarious and it's actually touching at the same time, I'd go so far as to say that certain points are brillant relationship commentaries. Thoroughly enjoyable if you don't mind how vulgar it can be.

Sort of insane that watching it back 12 years later it seems like Rogan/Heigl have no chemistry at all. Some of the comedy is still good but the whole situation just feels completely removed from reality.

I didn't laugh much, but I can appreciate the attempts and I know there are lots of people who find it funny, so if you are on the fence about this one, look online for some clips and make up your mind for yourself. There is nothing harder to review than a comedy with such a basic concept. I did enjoy the supporting cast more than the primary one, and they actually got some laughs out of me. I maintain that seeing Heigl as the stoner and Rogen as the TV personality would have been much funnier.

A lot has been said in the past few months about the misogyny, and after re-watching it (due to said controversy) I have to agree. It wasn't the funniest movie I'd seen anyway, but the way the female characters are treated does bother me, and it detracts from the overall quality. Rogen's character is unlikeable, and the only scene that really works on repeat viewings is the Vegas scene, and not because of any poignant conversation in a hotel room, but because Cirque du Soleil is always funny.

I really dislike Apatow's style of dramedies since he tries way too hard (and fails) to cater to both the low-brow crowd and the chick flick crowd. My rating is just based on the comedic side of the film, which had its fair share of great moments.

Judd Apatow and his cast strike a perfect balance of vulgar humor with heartwarming romance. It's not just 2007's best comedy but it's easily the comedy of the decade so far; Knocked Up is hilarious from start to finish and is the movie to beat for the year.

Had a lot of great moments, but too often it felt unrealistic which is the appeal of Apatow's other comedies. Heigl and Rogen having a drunk hook up is somewhat believable, but the idea that their relationship would go very far is laughable considering how fucked up his life is. Many of the side characters feel just like walking one-liners instead of actual people too which is slightly annoying. It's still a good movie and definitely worth a watch, it's just a little overrated.

Probably my favorite comedy next to Superbad. I have a thing for movies that can blend multiple elements like this and almost make a "dramedy" and I prefer a realistic interpretation of difficult real life events than full blown comedies that (for good intent) overexert themselves. Rogen and Heigl are phenomenal, and everything they do comes off really believable. The light hearted moments do a nice job of balancing its actual story arch. Absoutely love this.

Apatow has created a refined comic masterpiece with his second feature: it's crude, but I'd watch it with my own mother. It's hilarious from start to finish, but it's also touching and sweet without ever feeling the pain of drastic shifts in tone. And it's one of the best romances I've seen in a long time, but if it weren't for "Superbad" it would be the funniest movie of the year.

Could have been slightly more realistic when creating the characters that surround the to be parents. Somewhere hidden deep within the often corny jokes is a message that two people can make due with the situation they are given. In the sense of this movie it was overshadowed by less than thrilling performances by the two leads and very little substance to help the message resonate.

Knocked Up is a cute story of a loser who falls for a girls who is probably better than he deserves. Judd Apatow made a career of this concept during this time and Knocked Up follows that script to a T. Seth Rogan is likable. Katherine Heigl is beautiful. Paul Rudd is funny and really likable. Leslie Mann is funny and steals the whole movie. The rest of the casting is pretty standard Apatow stuff, so if you like that you will like this. I've seen it a few times. It's still pretty good.

Judd Apatow is this generation's comedy king and Knocked Up is really quite hilarious. It's a lot more dialogue based but it's still funny as hell. Seth Rogen - love him or hate him - is great, but just like The 40 Year-Old Virgin, it's the supporting cast that makes this a real highlight. Also, I didn't really have a problem with the length, which is surprising because Apatow's films always feel really long.
