This was quite the baseball movie. The guts this kid had are unmeasurable. Its amazing how even after losing his baseball super-abilities he is able to outthink his opponent. And Gary Busey is a good laugh.

First of all, love me some Henry Rowengarner. The premise of the movie is absurd yet it is hilarious and amazing at the same time. Also, any movie with Gary Busey is great because in hindsight he was so fucking insane. Love the dude that is banging Henry's mom, probably the worst movie villain of the 90's. Childhood classic that I will always enjoy watching.

Atrocious overacting, inept directing, a script that butchers every cliche in the book...I can think of no better way to blur the lines between the big leagues and the homegrown magic of baseball.

Pretty good

Pretty silly but absolutely watchable.

Lightweight, fluffy kids sports movie which even 30 years removed feels overly familiar and too protracted (give me a week and I won’t recall the differences between this, ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD and LITTLE BIG LEAGUE), but it’s decent, distinguished by an unusually well calibrated performance from Busey, whose character and arc is genuinely touching and involving – who knew Stern would be the director to extract such a winningly tender performance from him!

One of my favorite baseball movies of all-time.

Pity points for Busey, Daniel Stern, and the Cubs.

It's a silly kid's movie, exactly what you'd expect it to be.

Should be good for kids, a few funny moments for adults.

If this movie taught me anything as a kid, it was that if I broke my arm, I could pitch 100 mph and play for the Cubs. And, if that I broke it again, I would throw normally again. That, and nothing and I mean NOTHING can beat the floater pitch.

Despite the unrealistic aspects, this is incredibly enjoyable. I blame my childhood and the over-zealous soundtrack.

Only for kids. If you are an adult, steer clear of this one, it will not satisfy, but if you are under the age of twelve, prepare for the movie of your childhood.

They should have saved the plot for this one and made a fifteenth Air Bud movie. Avoid it like you are an epileptic and it is Pokemon.

Loved this when I first saw it, love it now. "Roengartner checks the runners" always makes me smile for some reason.

Funky butt lovin

Really fun but dumb baseball movie. Much better than it had any right to be, but the little stuff makes it entertaining; Daniel Stern doing dumb things, the manager messing up Henry's last name, "funky butt-loving", and so on.

This kid was in illions of movies about baseball wasn't he? i really liked him.

Was a pretty good film when I saw it for the first time. I was also 11 or 12. I have no desire to ever see this movie again.

Any movie with Gary Busey as the romantic lead is A-okay in my books.

This can be nice movie to watch if you are kid. But even then, there is better.

I watched this as a kid probably around two decades ago yet I have fond memories of the movie especially the scene where the rookie first discovers his now powerful arm. The climax was also dramatic. It is a feel good movie that kids as well as grown ups would like.

I loved it when I first saw it because I was convinced that it could actually happen.

Pretty humorous film for the family with one of Candy's last roles.

I loved this movie as a kid. The plot makes absolutely no sense, but when you're 10 years old, that doesn't matter.

Until the Cubs recent string of success, I would have made a joke about their best pitcher being prepubescent. Now the only joke left is the movie itself.
