A great Pixar film, Finding Nemo was both thrilling and didactic. The quality animation of the film was amazing. The movie seemed so real. The adventures of Nemo, his father and Dori, were entertaining. The creativity that produced the personifications of the underwater world was stunning. The movie stressed the love for a child by a parent. Parents will go to the end of the world for their offspring. This is a great film for young children, as well as adults, its a family fun movie.

In this hilarious animated Disney-Pixar film, an adorable dad clownfish named Marlin goes on an incredible journey through the deep depths of the ocean searching for his lost son. Along the way he encounters an absent-minded blue tang fish named Dory and Australian sea turtles surfing the East Australian Current (EAC). Though this journey is depressing at times for Marlin, Dory and Crush, the sea turtle, add comic relief that help this movie surf to the top of the charts.

Upon a rewatch I can't consider this a kids movie anymore. This is a family film because everyone, young and old can enjoy it. It's got some hilarious laughs and a story with some great heart. Not to mention a superb cast.

Ellen DeGeneres really makes this movie. She plays her character perfectly and provides most of the laughs. The animation is gorgeous of course, but the story is kinda blah, especially at the beginning. Slightly above A Bug's Life, but not as good as any of Pixar's other features.

Out of all the Pixar films out there only "Wall-E" & "Up" rate higher. Few of the others even come close. Even tho this isn't the highest rated Pixar film I still feel it is the pinnacle of their family films. It is the only one that balances the "for the kids and for adults line" so perfectly.

So Marlin, who is a clown fish (what?) runs into Dory, a blue tang (what?), and whines his way to find his son, Nemo...I can't bash this movie, because my 3 year old loves it, and if I did, she'd sic Schnauzer, our Yorkie, on me, and I'd have to bunk with Hamster, our guinea pig, until she forgave me.

Finding Nemo's best feature is its animation. Apart from that the story is dull, the characters silly and the dialogue trite. Similar to a lot of current animations it lacks any edge, the bad guys aren't bad and the hero is not so heroic. Sure, kids may get a kick out of it but apart from a cutesy animation I don't think it is worthy of much more.

So many memorable vocal performances in this one (Dafoe steals it for me), following in that great Pixar tradition of bringing in star performers and crafting real characters out of their voices instead of cramming stars into a CG movie only to use their names as a draw (see: DreamWorks). Every Pixar film has that heart-melting moment: in this one it's when Marlin looks at young Nemo and sees him as a roe-egg. You are inhuman if that doesn't melt you. Beautifully drawn. This is a lovable movie.

Other than being very funny and very cute, there isn't a whole lot going on for this film. It's a great film for kids, and it is something that I would be happy to watch with my own some time. I just don't think it lives up to all of the hype that it got. Pretty good!

"Finding Nemo" is PIXAR's fifth film and Andrew Stanton's directorial debut, but it is so good that it manages to establish both as masters in the field of animation. "Nemo" is a wholly absorbing cinematic experience, utterly enjoyable and exhilarating, but also touching, moving and with a wise message. Outstanding vocal work from the cast, another rousing score from Newman -they all add up to a modern animation classic.

The visual beauty of this film is unparalleled in computer animation. And while the story has a few cliched moments, they never dominate the action, and are always accompanied by a healthy dose of real danger or easy going comedy. DeGeneres is fantastic as Dori--really one of the standout animated vocal performances I've ever seen.

Hilarious, exciting and endlessly inventive, Finding Nemo is an awesome aquatic animation which will exhaust the adjective store of even the most hyperbolic film hack (ahem). One word just about does the job: genius. Somewhere, under the sea, weak-finned clown fish Nemo (Alexander Gould) lives with his fretful father, Marlin (Albert Brooks). Smothered by pop's paranoia, he ventures away from the reef, but his dad's dread is justified when a passing diver whisks him away.

A simple yet heartfelt adventure story is packed full of intense action (the final net sequence post-ending felt unnecessary though) and memorable (often hilarious) side characters whilst overflowing with overwhelming emotional depth, from the heartwarming main premise (the "did you hear?" montage is a tearjerker) to the heartbreaking opening scene, to the nuanced dynamic between Dory and Marlin throughout (I don't want to forget!" "I do."). Beautifully animated and stunningly scored to boot.

Another excellent family film from Pixar. With some very impressive underwater graphics, good characters and voice acting and plenty of humour, Finding Nemo makes a enjoyable watch. It's well above par even for Pixar, who have a record of stellar animation productions to begin with. There are only a couple of niggles, mainly based around an overly thin plotline, but they never really effect the viewing experience. Even though I'd already heard good things, it was better than I expected.

One of the greatest films ever, animated or not. It's directed magnificently by Stanton and Unkrich and flows marvelously from beginning to end, alternating between moving, hilarious, fascinating and even "scary", and boasting tremendous voice work, fantastic animation and a brilliant script that's teeming with unforgettable scenes and is bringing together a tragic family story, the carefreeness of childhood, the funny gimmick that is Dory's memory loss and multilayered, memorable characters.

It would seem this is my favorite animated feature. This is the one. This is the one that gives me the greatest sense of adventure. It also gives me the most consistent release of emotion. I’m deeply moved by Marlin. His fears and anxieties calcified by immense loss, making him afraid to let go lest he lose all he has left. Marlin and Nemo had to lose one another to find each other. It’s beautiful. And this is all without mentioning the soundtrack. Gorgeous. The opening strings just melt me.
