If Patrick Swayze comes back as a ghost, let's all just agree to call the fucking ghostbusters, alright?

This is a two-hour film that could have been shorter. Felt like there was too much time spent with Swayze figuring out his ghost powers and then trying to figure out his own murder. Ah, but we get some stupid, sexy Swayze. Jeez, what a beefcake. What a hunk! He's so gentle and loving. Gotta wipe myself off with a rag.

Did you notice how everyone who plays a ghost in a movie eventually dies? Creepy, eh.

I always thought this film was creepy, particularly the end, where Swayze enters Goldberg's body for one last go-round with Moore. I mean, it's still Whoopi's body right? Anybody else besides me got a problem with that?

I didn't like it. I just felt zero chemistry between stupid sexy Swayze and tomboy Moore. Her acting in this role comprised of summoning tears. Whoopi Goldberg was the MVP and kept this movie from the pits of sappiness. I was expecting a lot more from all the subsequent cultural references to it. Sweet loft apartment. Fav scene: Whoopi in her fancy fuchsia outfit visiting the banks.

Patrick Swayze is seriously one of the worst actors I've ever seen.

Manipulative and extremely sappy, but kinda entertaining nonetheless. Whoopi Goldberg is surprisingly tolerable.

The hell-ghosts were unnecessary, but otherwise a decent story.

A rather caustic, unfunny, unromantic film with questionable moral content; and actually, a really disturbing film if you think about it.

Ghost was the romantic drama that marked a time, as well as Titanic marked another time.

Normally I would object on the grounds of Patrick Swayze alone, but Whoopi Goldberg was fun. Molly? You in danger, girl!

if one were to take the appreciation of the time and sustained it to now, that would be my rating of this movie.

Pretty sappy and unintentionally hilarious romantic tripe that took the country by storm in the early 90's. Swayze literally comes back in wraith form to do some sleuthing to find out who killed him. Whoopi is in one of those "magic negro" mystic roles that's fairly insulting. Overall it's pretty cheesy but it has a few scenes that are memorable.

One of the finest (and weepiest) love stories ever to hit the big screen, Ghost is a fundamental human tale that touches the hardest heart.

It really upsets me that the ending of this movie made me cry, because I really didn't like this movie very much (despite a great performance from Whoopi Goldberg that netted her a well-deserved Oscar).
