Four Brothers is an emotionally driven film. Not from the actors, but from the audience. Most of the actors phoned it in, despite the characters needing to show emotion for most of the film. The characters are interesting enough though, and you get a good sense of the brotherly bond that they share, even if they aren't blood-related. Ultimately, Four Brothers is a fun revenge flick, containing interesting characters and entertaining action sequences.

I love the relationship between the four main characters. It works on a number of levels, and all four actors do a very good job. There are some fun action sequences in here too. I actually ended up liking this one quite a bit.

I didn't expect this movie to be all that great, but I have to admit that I have nothing specific to complain about. Although it isn't the best film I've seen recently it certainly wasn't the worst, and it's a half-decent watch if you have some spare time.

When I see Jason Statham, I know how he will kick ass. When I saw here M.Wahlberg, I knew how will he swear and same goes for T.Gibson's 'nigga asskicker' attitude(watch any other film with him in it and you'll see what I'm on about). So I already knew half of the movie when I saw cast. Other half is mediocre action and family vendetta.

It's strange that this film isn't credited as the rip-off of The Sons of Katie Elder that it is. The inspiration is very clear. That being said, this adaptation updates the story from the Old West to Detroit. There's somewhat of a retro '70s vibe to the proceedings. My main gripe with this film is that the dynamic between the eponymous brothers is not very authentic and none of the characters are particularly likable.

I didn't get it entirely. Felt like Singleton missed the mark. Wahlberg was too much for this film, whereas Terrence Howard seemed to phone in his role. The rest seemed to be miscast. Had some good moments though.

I wanted to like this, but its lack of engaging characters, terrible dialogue and predictable plot arc had me cheering for the bad guy, who gave the only decent performance in the film. Starts out up to its neck in bathos and proceeds to drown quickly thereafter.

A lot of fun. The movie works as a neo-Western revenge tale. The plot arc is nothing to write home about, but the action sequences are thrilling, and the principal actors have a chemistry that makes things very enjoyable. Helps that they're given a supporting cast loaded with talented character actors, but Terrence Howard is wasted in a small role. Still, it's a fun ride that I would definitely watch again.

I was pleasantly surprised at the performances of the actors in this film. They complimented each other well in acting. I love the blend of drama, comedy and action. Memorable villian Victor Sweet played by a British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor Love the soundtrack also...Old school all the way.

Though it is a bit romanticized in that Hollywood sorta way, it's still pretty gritty and brutal. The lead performances are all entertaining if not exactly expertly acted. And while it isn't deep or profound, it isn't really trying as hard to be as some of Singleton's other work. It's mostly just cool action.

I like a good revenge flick and this works just fine. It's easy enough to pick holes in this movie if you want to. In particular there is some quite shoddy editing, and Fionnula Flanagan again proves herself to be a terrible actress, with the scenes where the brothers imagine their late mother just awful. That said it is all still fairly enjoyable, and even though this film leaves you with a feeling that it could have been a lot better, by and large it works well as a simple revenge caper.

Wahlberg shows an entire new side of himself in this movie. He plays a hardcore street thug who is really a sweet guy on the inside. This movie shows the range of Wahlbergs massive acting talent. Only a matter of time before Wahlberg gets his oscar.

For some unintentional reason, this movie gets me. The story is nothing special and neither is the acting. But there is just some unique warmth in this movie. The "family above all" no matter where you are from or what color you are feels very comfortable.

When 4 brothers consist of upcoming hunky actor like Garret Hedlund or familiar face such as Mark Wahlberg and hip-hop star Andre"3000"Benjamin,hearing their names alone were even enough for some to see this movie. although this was above-average action flick,if not that great.the first several minutes felt warmth and modest as these brothers showed their real bonds.It acted pretty decent with Wahlberg carried both the action and drama.It was a slightly above average action of brotherhood.
