“Fuck me, he finished it.” One of those movies where it doesn’t know it’s garbage so we get to play in it’s awfulness.

Dispite an early scene of Robin in the crusades that was shot eerily like "Saving Private Ryan", this latest Robin Hood movie does a disservice to the legend. From the teeny bopper love story, to the gaudy, modern-ish wardrobe, this is a poorly executed, misguided stab at attracting a younger audience that doesn't fully commit and falls flat on its face. Everyone, kids included, would be better entertained watching a number of different Robin Hood movies, rather than this crap.

There's no doubt: this is the worst movie of 2018. It's a trainwreck worth watching because it's so obnoxious. I've played videogames in 2010 that looked better. It's incredible that an amateur project like this got greenlit for a release in the first place. It really shows in their abuse of Eve Hewson, who has 100% starpower in my opinion, but looks like a total doofus in this movie.

Every plot point big and small was an act of incredible convenience. There were a few half-decent visuals, and even though it was half-assed I always appreciate a unionization tale, but the script unironically uses the "If not you, then who?" quote, so … (And for goodness' sake, just learn how to pronounce an unfamiliar name once in a while, you lazy scum. Hahaha)

Frustrating telling of the Robin Hood legend is a game attempt to update/reboot the story for a post-Nolan world, but while there are some effective, interesting choices, too much of it feels tired, rote and too reminiscent of other films; Mendelsohn and Abraham make a good devious team, and unexpected casting of Minchin as a bumbling Friar Tuck is very welcome. Ultimately sinks under the weight of a series of thudding action scenes interspersed with silly jingoism. Disappointing.

I'm not going to tell you that I thought this movie sucked, just so I can fall in line with most everybody else. I will say that I went INTO the movie THINKING it was going to be awful. Honestly though, this was *fine*. Inoffensive and very proud of being "different" from the classic story. A vehicle for a sequel that, as RealMacgyver points out, likely doesn't get made. Coated from top to bottom in wannabe grit, but I wasn't bored, and if that's the best I can say, that's at least something.

The design followed the mantra of a third historically correct, a third contemporary, and a third futuristic. This is accompanied by the idea of representing unfair wealth inequality as timeless, making both the design and idea interesting...in theory. In reality, there's an aesthetic and narrative dissonance that is distracting and amplifies the plot's defiance of logic. Mediocre acting, writing, and over-stylised action don’t help this plausibly post-apocalyptic incarnation of Robin Hood.

While Robin Hood has many issues, the Costume and Set Design must be singled out as the worst by far. The sets are all shiny and spotless without a sign of dirt or ageing, which of course fits crusade era England to a tee. Marian honestly looks like she just stepped on set after a trip to the high street fashion stores with her modern clothes, hair and make up. I was so distracted by these matters I struggled to pay attention to the poor acting and weak plot. Worst movie I've seen in a while

It's definitely a film where things happen followed by other things and contains characters. It's a frikkin mess though. Character motivations aren't given time to actually make sense, they don't bother with the main things associated with Robin Hood until the very end when they cockily set up a sequel that will never be made. Feels like chunks are missing. Shouldn't have bothered. CGI is shoddy too.

takes itself FAR too seriously for this bonkers comic book world to work at all, making every anachronistic choice grate and itch. Plotholes and inconsistencies abound, and I'm the bumbling caveman who RARELY asks questions or ppints out failures in logic. Most of all I hated the costume design, much of which is off-the-rack at Forever 21.

We all get that the anachronisms are there to make the movie more relatable, but we can agree on the fact it was done cheaply on many fronts, leaving some parts tacky or distracting. Some stunts were alright at least

This movie exists for some reason and I don't know why nor care. Therefore the movie can be quite entertaining if you ignore the mix of old and new theme and visual styles and the fact that the more arrows Robin fires the less sense everything makes.

The Game of Thrones influence is obvious, from the way it eschews the usual Robin Hood forests for almost entirely medieval-urban settings in a very King’s Landing-esque Nottingham to the political maneuvering and general “grittiness.” It’s an oft unpleasant mix, with loud messy action, and man is this whiny middle management-ass Sheriff of Nottingham a weak villain. That said I’ll probably still take it over Ridley Scott’s brown, decrepit 2010 version, if only for Taron Egerton.

Yes, pretty bland in every aspect, from generic action set-pieces to uninspired "new, gritty, Marvel-like funny" approach to the legend, but not nearly as horrific as critics and everyone said at the time it was released. Just forgettable.

"Robin Hood" revamps the timeless tale with a hefty budget, incorporating contemporary elements that don't necessarily enhance the narrative. The film is packed with extravagant action sequences, heavily relying on CGI to the point where it sometimes resembles a video game more than a movie.

This was by far the worst movie I have seen in 2018 and I have seen Gotti, Hurricane Heist, and Action Point,. If you have A-List i recommend watching the first 15 minutes and immediatley leaving. All 12 points in my score goes to the first 15 minutes. Everything after deserves a zero. Just a stupid movie all together. Sure Jamie Foxx was great, but I mean c'mon.

* This isn't a good movie but it isn't a bad movie either. The alternative take on fact based fantasy does deliver and doesn't feel too out of place at some action pieces, especially at the beginning. But the story just can't keep it together. Okish film overall.

Yoklukta giderdi. Taron Egerton lusunu izleyelim dedik. Faciasını yaşadık. Kral Arthur filmleriyle yarış yapan hırsızlar kralı Robin Hood, politik olmaya çalışmış. Günümüz tarihini eski zamana çevirdim sevecenliğiyle itici oluyor. Sonlarına doğru aceleci davranıp filmin en etkileyici sahneleri kesip yemiş. Ortaya iyi bir film çıkarken facia olmuş. Jamie Foxx hariç oyunculuklar kötü. Oklarım on ikiden vurmadı.

The film tries to combine modern themes and visuals with the famous folk hero tale, to mixed results. While there is some fun to be had, it never really gets to a point where the film manages to justify its existence.

It had the hallmarks of a big budget movie. Some good intense moments. Battles in the first half were intense and well done. I liked Jamie Foxx fighting, but his character was unconvincing in the later stages. There were numerous problems such as the rewriting of history and applying modern concepts to ancient times. I was particularly pleased by its handling of the corrupt church and its officials. The love story was also badly strained by the plot. Worth watching.

I wonder how many shades of grey "Will" had time to teach Robin Hood's gal before he returned. Actually that angle would have been more interesting than the shit they served us. What the hell were they doing with this?! Certainly that proposed sequel will never be made after this lovely(?) disaster?

It's one of those big budgeted B-movie types. But at least it's a fun one. Probably due to its generic, fun "OMG THIS IS RAD" score. And its general dulled-rebellious aesthetic direction. Most things are badly motivated and underdeveloped, especially Robin and John's vendetta scheme and how quickly Rob's convinced. Let alone their characters. And their ultra-manly über-cool shenanigans, which are ridiculous, silly and fun. Eve Hewsons is easily the best thing about this movie.

The story was surprisingly entertaining. Though some of the details of the storytelling I could have gladly done without (like the broomstick parts. Seriously). Nothing great though. The acting was so-so. A lot of the on-screen elements were tainted by... fashion. It just looked way too modern! Also, some of the characters make weird decisions that don't fit into their profile. But, it was still entertaining.
