What are the odds of getting even? Danny Ocean (Clooney) and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and riskiest casino heist -- to defend one of their own. But they're going to need more than luck on their side to break The Bank. (Warner Bros.)

Back to being fun, this movie redeemed my hope that threequels could make up for terrible sequels. Then I saw X-men: The Last Stand. Then I saw The Matrix Revolutions. Then I saw Star Wars Episode III. Then I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. Then I saw Jurassic Park III. Then I saw American Wedding. Then I saw Scream 3. Then I saw...

A lot of people are saying it's better than the second but still not as good as the first. That's because it's the case. It's got some superb style, great colours, a plot that's not so complex it's just silly and above all it's entertaining. Sure it's been done before but if you liked the first one you'll like this one.

Eleven is about larger-than-life movie stars, Twelve is about...uh yeah who knows, and Thirteen is all about the pure super-high-roller luxury Las Vegas heist. Heaps of style, and of course the larger-than-life movie stars don't hurt. Also the funniest of the trilogy - I'm a midget in 34 states and an animal in the other 34

Better than the second, not quite as good as the first. Lots of moving pieces to the heist, but none of them have many stakes - they are a little too polished at this point. The climax of the film is also not as fun as the first. The cast probably shows off their personality best in this one, though.

Cast is spectacular, the heist itself is fine but it kind of felt like a TV show rather than a movie. I like the little in jokes though, suggests that this is actually just Clooney et all getting together to actually do jobs and pretending its a movie

Ocean's 13 is the third installment in the star-studded heist series. 11 was a lot of fun and the huge cast worked convincingly well and it was something of a novelty. Whilst 12 was inevitably going to happen, but it was undoubtedly a step down and mediocre. This third film is probably better than it's predocessor, but the novelty of all these faces together has worn off. And whilst Al Pacino is a welcome addition, his inclusion does feel like a wild card. But there is still some fun to be had.

I'm not even sure I'd call it a story - it was more a detailed sequence of interesting events. The detail is flashy, stylish, colourful, smooth, comedic, and the interesting events are all played out by massive Holliwood stars, but really that's all there is to it. In every heist movie there needs to be a "plan" sequence - but in this one the plan sequence lasted more than the first half! I was interested and entertained, but oh so glad when they finally got to the payoff.

The Ocean movies aren't about plot, logic, or character development. They're spa experiences, two-hour-long immersions in a warm tub of Vegas (and Vegas-movie) nostalgia.

Powerful portrayal of industrial struggles of a hyperexploited but combative Mexican proletariat, albeit limited to 'trade union' consciousness contesting the terms of integration into capitalist social relations, and even within this terrain illustrating a version of Lenin's thesis that leadership can, and even must, come from outside of the class itself. As Scott Caan says, preparing to throw a molotov cocktail past a line of police into the factory grounds: "We just have to break management."

This time, the plot isn't moving at such an accelerated speed that it forgets its earlier moments. We can follow along this time, and while it's still missing the special something from Ocean's Eleven, I still had fun. The actors are still, well, high profile actors for a reason, and there is actually a good reason to pull off one big heist this time, which I was very glad about. Had the characters been better developed, this would probably be the best Ocean's movie so far. A solid heist movie.

Some of the cast is wasted which is to be expected with such a huge ensemble. This is better than the 2nd one in the series. Ellen Barkin makes a great addition to the cast. There are enough entertaining moments for me to recommend the film.

Actually it's pretty weird to see Al Pacino in such a film. I didn't really enjoy his character, but then again, I didn't like most of the film. Again the movie is inventive and I'm glad to say it's better in every way than the second film. But, the reason the first film was such a success, the ability to bring a solid and perhaps difficult story swift and with a lot of humour, was again far off here. They created a splendid first film. I wish they would have left it by that.

Mehhh. They could have stopped a lot sooner. Again the team up of Brad Pitt and George Clooney, but in much more deboneaur roles. Unfortunately, this just perpetuates the first Oceans movie and tells America that we don't have enough good ideas at this point so let us crank out another sequel. Sure it is worth a watch, but don't be surprised when you are watching this and you go haven't I seen this before why am I watching it again. Steven Soderbergh is why but not enough.

Excellent entertainment. There is no twist this time, but after 12's ending fell flat on its face, the change is welcome. No, this time the gang just wants vengeance -- they don't have to win so long as the other guy loses. When 'the other guy' is Al Pacino, casts don't get much more watchable than this. Soderbergh stuffs it full of glitzy Vegas style, and the movie seems to get better every time I watch it. Caan and Affleck usually steal the show in these pictures -- this one's no exception.

The Ocean's trilogy has turned out to be a series of "redo"s more than a continuing plotline, in this context: Ocean's Eleven is the original, Ocean's Twelve is Ocean's Eleven on vacation, and Ocean's Thirteen is Ocean's Eleven-lite. It's a return to the frantic pace and imagination of the original, except everything is a bit less. You know what is coming next, you know these characters, and you know how close you are to the end. Even if it feels to cozy for its own good, its a fun film.

I suppose it is more technically solid and glossy than 12, but it lacked the meta/self-aware elements I enjoyed so much about 12, aside from one moment of American Don Cheadle's British character faking an American accent. It's all well assembled, well acted, and has enough funny moments, but this one was the least interesting and engaging of the bunch for me. Not that I'm a big Julia Roberts fan or anything, but the complete absence of her character was glaring storywise.

In general, this film redeemed whatever went wrong with Ocean's Twelve. I wouldn't say it was as much of a well-oiled machine as the first, though. See, Danny Ocean has money, so he has the ability to basically pay anyone to do anything for him, making the heist in question less spectacular and a whole lot more easier...technically speaking - Just like Tony Stark with remote control suits in Iron Man 3. The level of impossible difficulty is essentially gone. Still a lot of fun, though.

If you look past the attempted coolness, the underlying motivations of the characters (and ideology of the movie) are awful: 'Hey let's simulate an earthquake, risking the lives of thousands, because a guy crossed a friend of ours!' Completely implausible. It's also tiring to see that these guys seem to know everything in advance by chance when their opponents are completely passive. It looks like Kasparov playing chess against me. And obviously, you can seduce a woman with perfume only... yuck.

Ocean's Thirteen is still a pretty good caper movie. It is the first to not have Julia Roberts and I think that It suffered for it. Ellen Barkin was a good addition as the token female role. The story is just a rehash of the other two movies but this time there is some agency behind the need to steal the money besides just getting back at a bad guy. This time the bad guy almost killed your best friend. It still came with some good action, a few twists, and some funny moments.

Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his gang hatch an ambitious plot for revenge after ruthless casino owner Willy Bank (Al Pacino) double-crosses Reuben Tishkoff, Danny's friend and mentor. First, Ocean's gang plan to hit Bank in the paycheck by reversing the precept that the house always wins. Next, they will deal a crushing blow to Bank's ego by ruining his reputation as the only hotelier to earn the Royal Review's Five Diamond Award for each of his properties.

Convoluted intro aside, the con job here is arguably-despite its unconvincing foundation-the crew's most memorable: A delightful many-layered sabotage that pushes the boys outside their box to Mexico and even back to an old foe; sees the other 10 (minus Rusty) get a true chance at the spotlight; and moves them into a more satisfying and refreshing Robin Hood/anarchistic mindset. The dialogue and editing here aren't on the same level as 11 and 12, but the caper might just be the best.

When this movie was released, the directors themselves admitted that it should have been the sequel to Ocean's Eleven. And it delivers. It brings back the original heist feel but with the added bonus of a friend you care for in danger. You actually see the team doing a job that they sometimes have to come up with on the fly. It felt new and interesting. Not as good as the first of the series, but a killer way to revive the trilogy after Ocean's Twelve.

It brought back all the best elements from the original (Well, the remake of Ocean's 11 not the original Rat Pack version), changed a few things up to develop a new scheme, but retained all that was enjoyable in it's first two installments. A great way to end the trilogy; it saved itself.

Cool, smooth, with a few genuinely funny moments and a decent overall heist. Too bad there just aren't any real complications for the crew once it's game time, things would have been more exciting with some more interesting problems along the way. Since this one doesn't feature Julia Roberts, it automatically becomes the best part of the trilogy.

Coming off the muddled misstep of Ocean's Twelve, Soderbergh proves that he can still produce high-quality Hollywood fare when he puts his mind to it. He uses his star power cast much more efficiently, delivers a scheme that's complex without being confusing, and takes a step back from making the characters superhuman. The glitz and style and polish help make this a very entertaining flick. My one beef would be that Danny Ocean has it a little too easy this time. Still a very fun ride, though.

I like all the Oceans films quite a lot and i've seen them all a few times. I'm not going to rank them, but I think it's fair to say that the story to this one is the most flimsy - especially the Grecko thing "You don't understand just how unbeatable the Grecko is, it cannot be defeated, we should give up immediately!" then the next line is: "Ok this is how we beat the Grecko." it doesn't make me think "wow, these guys are good if they can beat the Grecko!" it makes me think "bad script"
