The entire film is a build up to a redundant "gathering" which has ethnic stereotypes paraded about such as amazonians wearing loin cloths, natives who looked like they came from a Ford western, etc.. I was holding my breath hoping..no, praying..that the rice hat wearing asian vampire speaking broken english would show up just to complete the shitty twilight vampire UN. The CGI still looks hilarious especially the scenes of vampire's heads getting judo chopped and popping off like barbie dolls.

For all those of you who made it through this entire wretched franchise without repeatedly stabbing your groin with a fork, running out of the house naked and killing a bunch of old people in a berserker bloodrage, I salute thee. Also, has anyone seen my grandparents?

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 is sort of the Twilight film for non-fans, at least in parts. There's a twenty minute sequence inserted just to troll the devoted fans, while providing a sense of catharsis to those who haven't liked the series from the start. It's campy, funny, mostly devoid of the slow-moving, uneventful nature of a couple of films, and will likely please the die-hard fans, as well as not being a total bore for those who are just dragged along for the ride.

I like things based on the Romeo & Juliet concept, and I'm usually all for modern takes on mythical allegory. That said, however, my boyfriend and I chose to see this at the drive-in knowing that the series started cheesy(a generous understatement) and proceeded to plummet downhill. It was no surprise that we had to have sex several times to overcome the boredom. Some of the soundtrack is cool but not cool enough to pardon the travesty of how much those responsible for this movie were paid.

Honestly the best film in the series. Partially because they said fuck it and made a crappy superhero movie with future A-list casting, partially because of the bizarro fight scene that starts with Carlisle’s head being ripped right the fuck off, and mostly because it’s finally over. I have died every second I listened to the credits.

A pretty dull buildup gives way to one of the most enjoyably nutty final battle sequences I've seen in some time: decapitations, super powers, wolves eating people, all kindsa shit. I'm not saying I liked the film, but, with this franchise, it's notable simply for not being the worst tentpole release of the year - it is much better than Bourne Legacy or Wrath of the Titans, for example. Kudos to Michael Sheen, a very talented actor who tears into his ridiculous character with infectious zeal.

From Meyer's producer credit appears at the start until the end, Breaking Dawn pt 2 is an exercise in increasing audience bafflement. I can remember no film put together so misguidedly. Why is there a CGI baby, when Twilight CGI is notoriously terrible? Where is the plot? Why that "twist", the dumbest narrative contrivement ever? This final installment is a tribute to the cultural icon Twilight - confusing and hilariously bad, you could work a lifetime trying to figure out why it is popular.

Now married or happily pedophilic, our male leads cease their gaslighting and violent manipulations, making room for confident vamp Bella to toss her buoyant hair around as the filmmakers find some way to extend the plot without anything actually happening (there is literally no reason for this film to be split into two). Michael Sheen is great, the CG child awful, the film barely mediocre---one of the best two of the saga!

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is an excellent capstone to the series. If for no other reason than they've finally gotten rid of all that angst lying about. The pacing is miles ahead of the previous one and there's some pretty good action in the climax.

Probably the best film in a detestable series, which is very faint praise. Like Breaking Dawn Part 1, it is directed well by Bill Condon and features beautiful cinematography and music from Guillermo Nevarro and Carter Burwell. The story benefits from Bella not moping over which of the boring guys she likes, but the terrible writing - with plot holes at every turn - keeps it from being anything but average.

Finally, the saga meets its finale. And, like the other films, this one takes a long path to get things done, so we are forced to follow the Cullens recruiting friends for the large-scale battle agains the Volturi -- with some fake brazilian natives included -- and a strange digital Renesmee, which is way creepier than the monsters around her. So, this is it: cool decapitations at the end, Alice making the big twist of the year and Ed and Bella living the flourish dream of endless love.

The reason why this movie is terrible is not because of the nightmare inducing CGI baby/child, horrific writing, shitty acting, atrocious ending, lazy editing, slow pacing and bullshit wolves. It's the lack of sexy shirtless men. Just putting it out there what everyone is thinking, I know you are. And I wish Jacob would impee on me too..

This installment was the best of the franchise by far. At the very least, it was the most entertaining. The majority of the acting, the characters, the writing - it's all still bad. The baby/little girl with the CG face - that was both unrealistic and downright creepy. Despite all that, I actually had fun! And the climax of the film was actually pretty cool. It was still a horrible film, but it was the first one to actually entertain me at all and the first one I didn't completely dislike.

The hatred heaped on this must've bled in from a hatred of the franchise in general & what its overwhelming popularity suggests about what modern females (of all ages) really want: 2 be drooled over by hunks & taken care of in a happily-ever-after. But y shouldn't female power fantasies be as immature as James Bond? In any case there's relatively minimal swooning & only 1 giant plothole (the vampire "government" takes weeks 2 arrive) & finally a climactic battle that delivers w/ a clever twist.

Part 2 mostly spares us of Meyer's Mormon moralistic bullshit and allows us to laugh uncomfortably at: Jacob's primal wolf-lust for a cgi-baby/11 year old; Bella's new super cool vampire powers (and more!); odd ethnic stereotypes; baffling Vampire politics that make little sense; Team Edward's victory; and this Saga's consistently awful cgi. Unless you're a virgin 13 year old Mormon, I'll never understand how anyone could take this story seriously. Stephenie Meyer is a horrible person.

Bella (Kristen Stewart) awakes -- as a vampire -- from her life-threatening labor, and her newborn daughter, Renesmee, proves to be very special indeed. While Bella adjusts to her new state of being, Renesmee experiences accelerated growth. When the Volturi learn of the baby's existence, they declare her to be an abomination and sentence the Cullens to death. Bella, Edward (Robert Pattinson) and the rest of the clan seek help from allies around the world to protect their family.

Oh where to start. Well let's start with the good. The battle scene. Excellent. (SPOILERS) Now for the bad. The final battle scene didn't happen because it was just a projection of the possible future! ARG! So disappointing. Ok, more bad... the CGI baby, toddler and possible young adult of the worst named character ever Bella's baby Renesmee. The worst part of this was the fact that Bella used her powers to create a montage for the end of the film. Time to make the Stewart barf face.

Despite my generally favorable reviews of most of these films, I accept that they aren't 'good' films. These are films even its most ardent fans admit are 'bad' but they love anyway. I think this series finale has the most gusto and goes out in a big fighting way. My positivity for much of the series goes out to the fans who need to know they are getting exactly what they want---and for what these movies are trying to be (as eye-rolling as they are)---they are well-made.

In Stephenie Meyer's chaste, bloodless reimagining of Romeo & Juliet, the two not-so-star-crossed lovers patiently wait until they're married before they even think of consummating, after which they skip merrily off into the sunset, tragedy-free. Meanwhile, the Montagues and Capulets meet up on the battlefield and exchange surly glances before one of them blurts "Group hug!" and they all go their separate ways. Thank God this franchise is finally over.

Had the movie had gone the full mile on it's big "twist" it would have at least gotten a letter grade bump for being ballsy, but the writing is still sloppy and the ending still lacks the scope needed to save the series. That said, as a non-fan, watching the end with a room full of fans during said twist was the most fun I've had in years. Go see it for the audience reactions, they're worth the price of admission alone.

If it hadn't just been a vision and the movie actually ended with half of the characters dead while the survivors mourned in agony, I might have given this thing like, a 30, maybe even a 35! Yes, I watched it: fast-forwarded through the sex scenes, was amused by Lautner's obligatory strip tease and was briefly shocked by the penultimate battle scene because it was the only scene in the entire friggin series that carried any weight whatsoever. If you've watched it yourself, you know what a rip-off that feeling was. Bella is marginally more interesting as a character here because she's tossing people around but Vampire Diaries is better, for what that's worth.

On one hand it feels like an extended epilogue...on the other hand it's the best of the series and I finally have an inkling of investment in the characters....on the other hand Anna Kendrick isn't in it....on the other hand there's an absurd number of PG-13 beheadings and a vampire feeding an enemy vampire to a werewolf... A mixed bag, but I...sigh, begrudingly, I can't deny it's the bonkers ending this hokey series needed, and it's clean for the most part...

It's so hard to even figure out where to start if talking about this one. Basically it's really tiresome to watch people staring and discussing while new characters keep appearing out of nowhere in a storyline that is deeply troublesome (paedophilia!) and absurd. Add the flavour of apparently deliberately cut scenes that were put together and you get a result that will make the first part of this series look decent(!). It's ok for some laughs, but to be honest: I've never seen anything worse.
