Serves as an epic and emotional finale to 20 years of Spider-Man movies, pulled off in ways most of us never thought possible. Like the recent Ghostbusters: Afterlife, this is an example of fanservice done right. The ending is surprisingly bittersweet (for a Marvel movie, at least) and I hope future movies don't undo the major decisions made here. Keep on slingin', Spidey.

Actually the story was weak, the incident which provides a foundation for the entire movie was unconvincing, ridiculously absurd and nonlogical, they didn't even explain it much, that led to so many plot holes. Sandman and Lizard were just there needlessly, motivations unclear. But fan-service, feeling of nostalgia, performances, pacing were so good, plus some serious consequences in the movie elevate No Way Home from my end to a higher level, despite all of it's absurdities and problems!

Where do I even begin? This lived up to the hype and even surpassed it a bit. I was very surprised how mature the storytelling was and just where the writers went with this character. I laughed, cried, and clapped my hands like the big nerd I am. It’s got the fan service, but it’s also really respectful to the character and those who grew up watching him for decades. The cast and crew hit the nail here. Fun, endlessly entertaining, very emotional, and super satisfying. I loved it.

As a film, it cannot be avoided that this Spider-Man is incomprehensible without seeing past ones - a significant number of payoffs require the viewer having seen at least eight other comic book movies from multiple film studios. It relies so heavily upon other media that it loses a bit of its own identity. But with that said, damn, how fun was that, right? Loved it! A lovely junction of so many Marvel moments and characters and it manages to keep the magic alive for the whole run.

The ads do a disservice to this film. It's not just another supervillain fight. Instead, the cross-dimensional angle gives cool insight on the hero as well as the villains he's created and faced. If sequels feel like TV shows, this one is a great season finale that addresses past plots. However, the picture slips with unanswered logical questions and nonsensical heroic choices. Still, if you've been a fan of any of the franchises, the final third action makes it worth watching.

At the risk of sounding like a total killjoy who’s no fun to talk to at parties, this was a devastatingly depressing exercise in Pavlovian audience response to pre-existing IP. The back half of this in particular is just a barrage of referencing things from other movies (received by its audience with knowing laughter or even applause and cheers). This was the bleakest thing I’ve seen in a theater since Mass.

This was a fun romp. Holland remains very engaging in the role, and, if the story took some predictable steps, they were outweighed by the many novel ones. I hadn't seen the Garfield Spider-Man films, and that didn't seem to matter here; the historic stuff was handled rather nicely. Ambitious, lively, and enjoyable.

Comic book elements at their apex: crossovers, fanservice, multiverse, loss, perseverance, a lesson learned, and a final reset. Citizen Kane isn't any less of a film though it requires contemporary filmmaking context to truly appreciate its greatness. Fans got to see the Spideys' differences. Ultimately, I rate films on how much I enjoy them and I enjoyed this a lot. Fav scenes: guys chatting; Garfield catching Zendaya; Maguire saving Dafoe while giving Holland an understanding look.

More gimmicky meta-cinema from Marvel that feels extra self-congratulatory. And while the stream of guest appearances inevitably won me over a couple times, it couldn't distract from the fact that the motivation for the hero made zero sense. Probably my least favourite Spiderman just for how desperate it felt.

A minor miracle of a spectacle: lifting 20 years of cinematic baggage, somehow weaving it together in as neat a web as possible. It’s strength is in how tasteful it’s done. Unresolved arcs see due completion, questionable past creative choices get needed forgiving chuckles, bonds are formed effortlessly. The Spider-Man mythos is so, well, known, this sidesteps the pleasantries to dive deep into real Spidey business: grace and responsibility and sacrifice, hand in hand in hand.

One of the best Spider-Man movies ever. A fanservice galore fest done extremely well with jokes, emotion, and heart. Solid action set pieces and character interactions give the film alot of energy. I got a little emotional and attached when certain characters popped up again. The performances were all really good, the special effects were top notch, and some of the music will be familiar to the fans. I had such a blast with what the movie set out to do. One of my favourite films of the year.

No doubt, the most heinous example of Marvel doing what they do best: pandering to legions of comic book and movie fans. Yet, this is also exactly why the MCU has legions of fans, myself included. It was such a great feeling to see the old versions of Spider-Man taken under the MCU umbrella, an indication that just like our love for Marvel, Marvel's love for the fans knows no bounds.

A couple of contrivances were glaring (Why does Peter need non-powered friends to search for multiversal invaders? Why is Strange trapped for a day b/c of "math"?) but the rest of this has been written & performed w/ so many touching character moments & perfectly inserted callbacks, that I don't think even Endgame brought me so close to tears as often. Only a cinematic universe could establish this level of emotional investment in characters & only a comic book one bring them together like this.

It works because it has so many moving parts that effortlessly weave decades of Cinematic mastery into one sprawling Spider-Man narrative that isn't hard to follow. Everyone in this film has suffered losses and by the end even more will be felt. It's epic in the way it delivers each and every bit of character development for characters that have not been seem in years. If you are a fan of what has come before you will be thoroughly entertained.

An absolutely terrific piece of fan-service with several touching moments, but its monstrous popularity is sure to deflate on re-watches outside of the theater. So many scenes are hand-designed to trigger nostalgia responses but don't really build any substance beyond "oh yeah, remember that guy?" Dr. Strange's whole role in this movie is ridiculous and the way he and Peter initiate the major plot points of the film is absurd. All that said, that first watch really is a fun theme park ride.

A shallow film - the redemption/cure angle is poorly considered (bordering on eugenics and failing to address those just enabled by power, not literally infected by it) and the forget spell is terrifically insubstantial - that relies on [spoilers] and the charm of [redacted] to capture the audience - and, to be honest, the reliance mostly pays off to produce a pretty charming picture, overall. Just one with too many problems as soon as you think about it.

Easily the best Spider-Man movie. Seeing all the villains together was really cool and there was one other surprise that really hooked me. Darker than a lot of MCU movies while having legitimate comedy (as a Spider-Man movie should). The ending was so perfect. The action sequences were energetic and exciting, acrobatic as a SM movie should be. There's a lot you can do with a character like this (and Dr. Strange) and they used that potential fully.

Hollywood doesn't have a stellar track record resurrecting old properties for the sake of nostalgia like this, but for what it is, that aspect of the movie was actually handled relatively well, much better than I expected, and the meat of something pretty good is there. What drags it down hard is the trademark marvel quipping. It's egregious. This movie is 2.5 hours long and I honestly think a third of that time is somebody making an awkward, unfunny comment that completely interrupts the scene.

This immediately becomes an example that I will cite when someone asks me why I like movies. This is just a pleasure to experience. Yes it came in with all the hype in the world, and does fall victim to typical time-related shenanigans, but I genuinely feel that it delivered on the hype. Getting to revisit the Tobey & Garfield characters from after the movies, as well as the previous villains, was appreciated and well-executed. Zendaya and Holland are so great together. NWH doesn't always succeed in avoiding the frustrating MCU style comedic timing that takes away from otherwise great dramatic scenes but when it decides to get serious it doesn't pull any punches and that's why it probaby rankes in the upper echelon of the MCU and as arguably the best Spider-Man film. The returning multiverse characters not only provide some of the best superhero movie moments of all time(theatre was going crazy!) but also serve a purpose that is true to who they truly are.

Primarily it’s another Watts/Holland Spider-Man movie, with the same supporting cast being funny and loveable, but it also brings in a previously unseen level of darkness, becoming a movie about the sacrifice all Spider-Men have to make sooner or later. Solid action, all-round great performances, and a more tolerable quip game mean Holland’s Spidey movies continue to be an MCU highlight. OH YEAH ALSO THERE WAS ALL THIS MULTIVERSE SHIT AND FANSERVICE EVERYWHERE IT WAS NEAT!!!!

Best MCU film. Yeah, the emotional peak cannot rival that of Endgame’s but the emotional satisfaction is more… evenly spread out. Fanservice done right to the umpteenth degree. I completely understand the hype and the cynicism. It’s easy to roll your eyes at a movie that relies on the work of other films for its emotional payoffs, especially with Disney involved. And if this weren’t so airtight from conception to weaving established MCU elements in to juggling its convoluted concept and onslaught of characters, I’d be cynical too. But it’s hard—it’s just too hard for me to stay sour in the face of such deft spectacle. Every choice this film made was the right one.

The cool thing about this movie is that it builds upon the narratives of past films rather than have characters show up for the sake of nostalgia pops. It's a continuation of past narratives in a way that thematically connects into Hollands own arc of personal responsibility, and that's really damn cool. On top of all that, the movie has really cool action scenes with the Strange fight being a highlight. The chemistry between the Spidey's is also damn good.

A feel-good nostalgia trip, this movie is far from perfect. But it's a great example of bringing back classic characters without overshadowing the star or forgetting the importance of character building or sacrificing good storytelling. In fact, one could argue that they even fixed a few of Sony's screw-ups in Sony's previous Spiderman outings. Perhaps most welcome is that the movie feels like it was written by Spiderman fans, featuring many nods to the collection of movies that began it all.

SPOILERS: Certainly delivers on what it promises. A movie like this may feel like a pure nostalgia cash grab, but I definitely felt a lot of genuine heart and soul behind it. Spidey's always been a challenging moral character, balancing life and hero work, trying to help those he's wronged, and those themes are front and center here. A bit sappy at times, and not the most well paced, but you can't deny the significance of this kind of crossover, or the impact that ending leaves on you.

This is pretty great. There isn’t anything you can say without really spoiling it, but it hits all the beats you’d want from a tone & big spectacle perspective. However, I do believe this film would’ve been better if split into two parts or at least was made to be 30 minutes longer. There is a lot here to accomplish and doesn’t always feel as cohesive. A lot of elements do feel they could’ve been given more time to cook, but for what we got, I can’t complain about this closing chapter.

The most touching and the funniest moments were around him and his eyes really speaks... T. Maguire is obviously a better actor than T. Holland but A.G. is the best among the three. Flat, uninvolving saga shares similar problems with SPIDER-MAN 3 – an ungodly ponderous fascination with Parker’s personal life and odd, “fan-service” digressions that stop the film dead in its tracks – fascinating to watch a 2½ hour film that never gets off the runway, weighted down with all of its external requirements (and way to work in an “Uncle Ben” death scene for Holland!) Not even Holland and Zendaya, stripped of their sparky personas from previous entries, can bring much life to this.

It’s lightning in a bottle, in that no other film will be able to achieve what this one did. Similar things have been done recently, but not to this degree with a franchise that we all grew up with. +10 for ditching the Green Goblin's mask. Willem doesn't need a mask.

Easily the best marvel film, some points of the plot are dumb if you think about it, but the script, acting and soundtrack are just perfect. It hits the nail on the head, and YES maguire is back baby

While not as good as "Into the Spiderverse" this was still a blast and surprisingly heartfelt at times. It was great to see Tobey Maguire in the role again and I didn't hate seeing Andrew Garfield either.

The first half hour or so I was genuinely perplexed that something this expensive can look so bad. It got little better over time but glaring green screens and an overbearing sense of plastic never went away. The script has massive flaws, most obviously character actions that make no sense. The thing that works is the joy of seeing great actors having fun with a silly premise. (MVPs: Garfield and Defoe) Mostly an empty spectacle but the ending was affecting and felt true to the character.

Enjoyable entry into the canon. Amazing that Zendaya can still pass as a high schooler. Plot will make more sense if you've seen the 100 other SpiderMan movies and some of the later Avenger movies, but it probably still comes together without seeing those.

I'm a Spider-Man fanboy. I watched the cartoon in the 90s, loved Raimi's first two movies and thought Homecoming was one of the best MCU movies. I even liked Amazing Spider-Man. And i still think a 6 is being generous. The film has an idiot plot inside an idiot plot. There's no pacing, it only gets going an hour in then stops again. Things don't happen organically but conveniently for the plot. Oh god, and the excessive drama. It was fun seeing Tobey, Dafoe and Molina again but that's about it.

This is seriously what movies are going to be from now on? Sure, this generates a lot of money, but ... gross. Just stupid and gross.

The only thing that makes this stand out is the nostalgia. While that works nicely (for me), there's really not much positive apart from that. The acting is pretty bad save for Dafoe, the story is overly simplistic AND it practically uses a far more successful Spider-Man movie (Into the Spider-Verse) as a blueprint, but with a premise that is so weak that the film is bound to implode when you reach the finale.

You shouldn't have to watch 7 movies of back story in order to enjoy the final part of a trilogy, but if you don't then you're going to miss so much of what makes this a fantastic cap on the MCU Spiderman movies. Dafoe and Garfield performances in particular are great

There's a lot of fan service to be found here, and it may even be the main appeal, but it's woven into an actual story so well I can't complain. It leads to an ending that will change the series so that it hopefully tells more Marvel Comics Spider-Man stories and not MCU stories. There's a character arc involved here but what it has to say isn't completely effective. The only real complaint is that the after credits scene was completely pointless.

So fun and full of nostalgia that I noticed stupid things only when I got home. But I forgive it all - the grin on my face while I was watching the movie was so big that it hurt.

After being outed by Mysterio, Spider-Man finds he and his friends can't live a normal life, so he turns to Doctor Strange for a solution. Hijinks occur, with many old faces returning. Oddly endearing and sweet, and deals with redemption, which is rare nowadays.

Perfectly okay entertainment, but more importantly: it is annoying in an existential way. In MCU land, art is never finished. That thing you love from years back? It could always be altered: it might be better, but probably will be worse, or possibly it will just be more complicated and more layered and more sprawling and more... annoying. In MCU land nothing dies, which is what things are supposed to do... die, instead everybody is walking around like zombies.... zombies with quips.

Goddamn this is fucking phenomenal. The hype for this movie was nothing short of astronomical. It was the kind of hype where It was bittersweet to finally watch It. Lucky for us Marvel fans, there is ALWAYS something cooking up. Tom Holland is at his absolute best here, as well as all of the supporting cast. Besides some slight pacing issues in the beginning, I'm not sure this movie could have been any better. Definitely get around to watching this if you can. I give 9 Peter tingles out of 10.

The best of the Marvel-Sony trilogy by far but still does not reach the heights of "Into the Spider-verse". The team behind NWH finally seem to understand the crux of Peter's character and allows him to battle familiar (to us, not him) foes while finally moving his character arc forward. Lots of fan service and winks to the audience is had from the "multiverse." A solid and enjoyable take on the character that actually builds on Spider-Man's legacy. PSI:81

Is No Way Home guilty of playing off nostalgia, recycling characters & plotlines, furthering the serialisation of cinema? Sure but it's still a very entertaining film. The best aspect from a post-Endgame MCU is the necessity to have multi-hero films; the interplay between Spider-Man & Strange is just that. The fight choreography in the final act is both chaotic & a let down. The plot device to resolve the finale was my biggest issue. Maguire remains the best Spider-Man; Garfield the best Parker.

W4E1P0S2V1M1A2R3. Great story out of a stupid premise, but a bunch of minor things that bugged me. All of the fight scenes other than the one between two good guys were kind of blurred and unimaginative (by MCU standards); visuals were probably amazing overall but the Lizard and sandman seemed phoned in.
